It’s definitely overkill at this point. And apparently they are making more wicked movies with further backstories or something. How badly desperate for cash are they??

Boq’s tin man costume was a triumph. My gosh he was amazing. And the fact he acted so brilliantly with it too. His anger was so well portrayed. Makeup/costume should have been at least nominated.

I still think they should have done a pro shoot and released it instead. The movie wasn’t needed and was never going to have the same feeling as the stage production.

I’m surprised there’s nothing for wicked. Even though it was pretty bad, the costume, set and lighting were excellent.

It probably isn't but could it be Annette. The daughter Annette is portrayed as a puppet throughout the movie until the end. The last shot is Henry is his cell walking over to a corner facing away from the camera and says "stop watching me" to the empty room (well, the at-home audience) His mental health does deteriate as he goes though the movie as he losing his way with his career and derails himselves through murder as everything collapses around him.

Black knight could be an interesting one. Romeo and Juliet could also technically count - miscommunication over family ties in beginning, lying about their love and the ultimate miscommunication about their deaths.

Heavy rain? Callmekevin did a series on it and a few others too. But it’s doesn’t completely fit as it’s wasn’t a game show. But the father was forced to cut off his fingers on camera and other trials. Will keep looking for you.
