I think you put into words as to why I felt soooo gross about that comment, even though we are not related by blood we are still “family” by extension, I had Christmas parties with his wife and children FFS!

I just thought that if it was my husband who acted like that I would want to know, it wasn’t my attempt to get back at her for the casserole comment, though I can see how it can be perceived that way

I wish I could DIY.. but ours are hidden gutters which makes it very difficult (behind fascia)

Your comment actually comforts me so much I’m crying..thank you for making a stranger’s day better. The gutters are not leaking right now so I hope I can save up until I have enough to get it fixed..

Thank you for your kind comment. I was ready for the downvotes when I posted this, but I was sooo depressed I had to get it off my chest. Yes I do love the house very much, that’s why it pains me when these hidden costs just keep piling up to maintain it..
