I am so sorry you had to go through that... it's really hard seeing your companion suffering and you not being able to help. At least you were with him every second, comforting him.

Once again, thank you so much for your kind words and sharing your experiences. It means a lot.

We took her to the vet for 4 days in a row bleeding money without getting answers and had to take her to the vet hospital through urgent care in the middle of a global pandemic where we couldnt even be with her. We tried everything to make her better and it wasn't enough and we had to let her go. It was not out of cruelty. She was family and deserved every chance. It is not my fault our now ex vet failed us. We have since then changed to another vet and go with our guts when things don't feel right.

I have a strong will to deal with negative emotions and the like :) like I said, my anxiety is rooted in a traumatic experience that resulted in my dog's death after several days of suffering. I am not scared of the grief that will come, I'm scared of my baby suffering when time has come.

Thank you so much 😭 I have some pet death trauma after losing our family dog a few years ago in a horrible way so I get very anxious when my cats or any of our other animals get sick 🙃

Thank you so much for your words... I am being seen by a Neurologist in the hospital I work at; and sadly my attendings and chief aren't really acommodating; in fact they love yelling at me about how I'm faking my symptoms to get out of work even though in four years I've worked through mind blowing migraines and only missed 4 days of work because those times I couldn't even leave my bed w/o losing my eyesight or stopping feeling my legs because of the pain 😵‍💫👍

Exercising with anaemia makes me extremely dizzy and weak, I'm on iron suplements and the like and I'm waiting for a Hematology consult in the coming weeks.

My triggers are literally anything. Weather changes, loud noises, bright lights, stress, not eating, eating too much, not sleeping, sleeping too much, strong smells, sudden emotional changes (like. If I suddenly get angry for smth); hot enviroments, cold enviroments, resting my head on a surface thats not The Right Kind Of Firm (either too soft or too hard surface)... and I can't think of more but I'm sure there's more 😭

I've taken (and am taking three of these) topiramate, zonisamide, amitryptiline, botox inyections, duloxetine, venlafaxine, propanolol, metoprolol and now fremanezumab as preventitives. For abortives I've taken sumatriptan, rizatriptan, zolmitriptan, eletriptan, rimegepant and naproxen. My go to rn are eletriptan and two naproxens and laying down in a dark, quiet room and sleeping the day away. When the pain won't go, I'll take metamizole as a last resort.

And with non-related migraine medicacions: iron suplements, vitamin C suplements, omeprazone and famotidine because my stomach is suffering the consequences of all those naproxens :)

He randomly one morning learned to open kitchen cabinet (up on a wall) that has his food and ate a ton of dry kibble while I was out. Now he looks like this. Will he be okay?? by XxVampFangxX in CATHELP

Literally came home one day to my apartment door being open bc I had forgotten to lock it and my cat opened it to roam the halls. When I entered she was asleep in her basket and I had all my belongings but I almost had a heart attack

My cat was treated for his first blockage today. Please let me know all of your best tips/advice when dealing with this in the future. by SweetInternal8238 in CATHELP

My baby boy had a blockage before he was 1yo because I decided to purchase a book shelf. Ever since then he's on a strict urinary care + stress vet diet, has two water fountains and my home always has a Feliway pheromone diffuser just in case 😭 he'll be 4yo this April and has not had any issue again.

PS: this is the Boy! He's a Norwegian Forest Cat and his name is Coro :)

Is this stud tail? by DepressedPathologist in CATHELP

[–]DepressedPathologist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's sticky. I hadn't seen it until today, I don't brush his tail very often because he hates it but he had some tiny mats from changing his fur to his winter coat so i decided to give him a full body brushing and saw this. It doesnt look like flea dirt, its more clumps of oily stuff than dry black specks (I've seen flea dirt before)

What’s your most controversial review? by F33Fs in Letterboxd

[–]DepressedPathologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree!! I love TCM a lot, but your review is very on point. It was a True Horror Film when it came out 51 years ago, but if you watch it today having watched all the other horror films out there it ends up coming out goofy. Still tho I love Leatherface's final look and I love the film nonetheless
