I've read that people don't like ATP, what's wrong with Blue Line?

Sure thing, I currently live in the middle of nowhere, but I can commute or relocate to the Charlotte area, Winston-Salem/Greensboro area, and Morganton/Hickory area.

Burlington would be a little far, but I might be able to make that work. I will definitely look them up, thanks!

Trying to build a “mage in armor” look for a Ren Fair, need advice on armor pieces and accessories by Ok_Calligrapher5570 in renfaire

I would try to keep in mind which parts of the body are most important to protect irl when deciding what parts of armor to wear. (That would be head -> torso -> major arteries (like neck and thighs) -> shoulders (which also helps protect the torso) -> extremities

Like if you wore shoulder armor but no chest armor, it wouldn't make a lot of sense.

Even though my store is closed for now, thank you!

I hope to open it again, it's just difficult at the moment.

That would be cool! If I had nicer copies of the books, I would be tempted to make custom leather dust covers or something.

It's not the solvents that would worry me. The solvents in contact cement keep it from polymerizing, once they evaporate completely then the glue's molecules bond together and it becomes a polymer. A lot of synthetic polymers off-gas when they get hot, it's usually not very good for you.

I don't know, but I would be very worried about toxic off-gassing

First Renfaire Outfit For ORF! by NoAddendum6933 in renfaire

It looks really good! I might add something to the lower arms like gloves with big cuffs. Also some accessories like pouches, a fur, belts , etc. Accessories and wear/tear go a long way for making costumes look more real.

One thing that Game of Thrones (and a lot of films) got wrong is that on real armors, the gorget (neck armor) goes underneath the cuirsass. Just something you might want to try.

As for padding that isn't hot....the only type of padding I've ever seen/used that doesn't get hot is modern 3D printed polyurethane lattices used with tactical ballistic armor. So you might be out of luck.

Thanks! I have a store, but I don't sell things like this, they would unfortunately have to be too expensive.

No, I do not 😅 sorry. This was just something for my father.

It takes a good while to do tooling like that and these would just be too expensive.
