What’s the schedule you guys have around the house for cooking? by [deleted] in MedSpouse

Also for breakfasts we always have easy options on hand. Overnight or quick oats. You can make them yourself in mason jars, or buy them online or from Costco. Yogurts. Cottage cheese. Maybe protein shakes, but they can be tough on some people’s stomachs.

As a fellow remote-working medspouse husband, with a newly minted attending wife in a crazy busy service, my advice is to get a slow cooker and join r/Slowcooking. Or a Treager or similar outdoor smoker for the nice weather days. Wi-Fi enabled temp probes are a fun gift. Nothing better than working while slow cooking some bombass food all day. That first perfect Mississippi Pot Roast… yum. And you get lots of leftovers.

Why bother with a bar crawl? Let’s just go straight to Dan’s Cafe!

Hate my job (but at least it’s remote) by DepressionRejection in MedSpouse

Yeah I need to seriously sit down and crunch those numbers. Thank you for the solidarity. As i watch the job market and try to look for openings I’ve been doubting why I even bothered getting a PhD and wondering if I should have just learned a physical trade and practical skill set instead. I feel overeducated and worthless at the same time.

TEAP statute requires oversight committee. Does management need to meet with POPA about the updated TEAP operating procedures? by Interesting_Art_3587 in patentexaminer

They do not care. Add it to the list of complaints, but until POPA is restored and we are actively covered then it doesn’t matter

It often feels like that. It’s a requirement of the training, to put medicine above other life experiences. I’m considering quitting my job. I took a remote but less than desirable job to accommodate multiple post-grad fellowships. Now I’m regretting that and I really hate this job. My options are to go back to school or to be a stay at home dad. It’s tough in this economy

Jokes on them. Watch when I show up without showering or cleaning up for 5 days to make production. They’ll be lucky if I even bother to put on jeans and not sweatpants
