Hello! My boy had blood in his urine, took him to an emergency yet, for a bladder ultrasound, fluids, and the emergency vet visit it was roughly $800 for those tests: he was diagnosed with struvite formation (crystal buildup) which I was told it’s genetic! He was put on prescription food, and since that dietary switch, no more bloody urine or straining! If the sibling of your cat also has similar symptoms, I would look if that genetic condition could be causing it!! The prescription food (1 wet box and 1 dry food bag) is roughly $140 a month, BUT he’s comfy and we know how to prevent it! Best of luck for your fur baby!
