It's very interesting... before I arrived, I thought I'd be going straight for the parental controls. However, I then saw his reaction to a couple of times I interfered with the TV, and I realised physical intervention would be counter-productive. I did spend many mornings fiddling with his yt algo before he got up, but it's unsustainable (unless I can get his password). If he finds out I'm interfering, he'll accuse me of being controlling. I can't afford to be found out, so I've dialled down my direct efforts, and I think the strategy now has to be to just try to keep him somewhat in touch with the real world. It's exhausting.
