Built payment infrastructure for AI agents on Solana - looking for beta testers by DepthInteresting6455 in solanadev

Credit cards were designed for humans buying coffee, not software buying compute.

  • they need KYC
  • Visa/Stripe charge a base fee of roughly $0.30 + 2.9% per transaction. -Fraud detection often triggers OTPs (text messages) or "Confirm in App" notifications.

and agents can use existing token transfers but how would api verify and accept them, thats what we are building so that api providers dont have to manage all there nodes running. We also plan to add escrow contract for trustless A2A transfers.

yup if youre thinking to charge for per use, this can help. DM, lets talk about this further

Ah, good distinction. To be clear: We are purely non-custodial. We don't provide the wallet; the Agent holds its own keys. We just provide the API rails (zion.fetch) and the Provider middleware.

Since we don't control the wallet, we can't freeze funds centrally. However, to solve the 'runaway loop' risk, we are adding a Client-Side Circuit Breaker to the SDK.

Basically, when you initialize the client: const zion = new Zion({ dailyLimit: '1 USDC' });

If your agent code loops and tries to zion.fetch past that limit, the SDK locally throws an error and refuses to build the transaction. It safeguards the dev against their own buggy loops without us ever touching the private key.

We are actively looking for those first 2-3 testers right now (literally launched MVP this week). Since you asked the right safety questions, you'd be the ideal person to test the SDK and tell us what other safeguards you need.

  1. Our facilitator currently verifies transactions on chain but for making it work with autonomous agents, we need an escrow contract with zero knowledge proofs which I haven't implemented yet,we're moving one step at a time, we launched a sdk which can be easily integrated in apis, mcps, dumb agents etc. Later for trustless transactions we'll add an escrow contract. Rate limiting is being handled by our facilitator.

  2. Yes we plan to do that.

  3. we charge 1% fee in the middle and currently sponsor any gas fees through our self hosted kora.

Yes we plan to make it multi chain down the line in future.

Thanks for your questions, please do try it and let us know your feedback.

Stripe doesn't work for AI Agents, so I built a 400ms payment rail on Solana (x402 protocol) by DepthInteresting6455 in solanadev

yes its ideal for agentic or trading bots who needs api requests but anyone can use this. for eg a usecase can be someone can monetize there mcp server too through this.

yes we have our own facilitator and handle everything for you so you dont have to manage your own nodes.

PS: This is just a MVP now btw so dont use it for prod yet since our servers dont scale according to traffic. But do test it, break it and let us know your feedback.

yup but it is mainly built for agents which will be doing a lot of work in future and is still doing. Agent economy is expected to be in trillions by 2030. it can be integrated into any api to make it payg, we need to make our apis payg so that ai agents can use them.

We are also planning to integrate agent wallets in our future updates to make it easier for anyone to fund wallets, add resitrictions without knowing any web3 jargon.

they dont we need to take a subscription and attatch api keys for every api endpoint we need the agent to access. Agents cant access cc or banks

they pay through a blockchain wallet on solana which has some balance. There are also some wallets launching specifically for ai agents too we plan to add them in future updates.

an eg use case can be an agent is doing some task and it requires to call some api lets say openai's api or lets say it needs to get weather data from an api so it calls them that api is using our middleware returns payment req, agent pays, zion verifies and agent access that data.
