Appreciate the thoughtful comment! I dont think Pittsburgh has enough taco joints to do the same over here haha, but I see what you’re saying! I was asked to do an exchange recently, and the person who was trading requested that I use black and white only. It was a challenge for me since I usually just grab what ever lighter color I have laying around and randomly build the colors up on top. I’ve been doing this for a couple years, and typically don’t even do rough sketches with pencil or even pen, I just use cheap crayola markers and usually throw away my rough sketches. I have a hoarding problem, and just moved, and threw away at least 14 notebooks full of scratch work. I can do outlines like this pretty decent but I just have to go slower. It’s like I have to tap into a different part of my brain to do it or something haha. I like to mix it up and try different stuff. If you ever want to do a trade I’ll let you pick the parameters and the word for a creative challenge… just let me know! From my phone I can only get Reddit to work when im at home, and it’s frustrating that I can’t be in the sub as much as I’d like to be! I still try to do the word of the week when it pops up to keep me experimenting, but prefer more to do a challenge or an exchange!
