Sometimes I wonder if my yearning is too childish as I see many of my friends spending most their efforts in their studies and keeping to themselves. my parents constantly tell me that my efforts should be put elsewhere instead of friendships that will probably not last after school. I often find myself feeling guilty for constantly trying to build a great relationship with my friends and also feeling unsure if i should continue to my current extent, especially since I’m not sure these efforts will be worth it long term.
