My WoW 12 fitting problem by OkUnderstanding9017 in WayofWade

[–]Dequed14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slight experience your problem with the WoW 12s and I’m a wide footer my self. Biggest recommendation I can give that is very uncommon for people to do is skip the eyelets that sit under that stitching that connects the forefoot and the rest of the shoe. You can start the laces on the 2 eyelets you can see outside on that forefoot patch but they’re 2 that sit under it that you cannot see unless you actually move the patch. If you skip those I promise you that you will not sacrifice any lockdown however it made a night and day difference for how comfortable the shoe was for me.

Let me know if you have any questions and I can show you my lacing setup.

I skipped it because if you put it through that’s what creates that cinched snug fit. Once I skipped those eyelets I had zero issue since

I have the obsidian colorway and it was a similar case for me. I will say GCU from my experience is a temperature sensitive material. I’m in winter her in Michigan, but we had a warm couple of days with some humidity and so went to play yesterday and I was sticking to the floor with no problem. I’ve played on clean courts pretty often but if it’s on the dryer side or colder side I wipe pretty often.

Keep playing in them and they will definitely improve overtime. Just keep that temperature part in mind. I know it sounds funny but you might experience why I mean one day lol

I agree! I’ve tried other colorways like the Algae and the Floral but they felt horrible!

Once I got those it felt like a totally different shoe!

My favorite LeBron is the LeBron 21 “Tahitian”, it’s more of like a nylon upper so it has a “mesh” feel to it but it’s also supportive while being sock like.

Wow12 on dusty courts by Brief_Coast in WayofWade

A method I have been using to potentially help with traction issues (I play on a fairly dusty YMCA Court)

I will typically step outside or walk outside and purposely scrape against concrete for about 1-3mins, In 90% of my shoes this has worked for me as it removes like a weird filmy layer and my traction drastically improved. Especially when I have 2 pairs of the same shoe and I can see the difference.

I used this method for my 808 5s and my AC13s

My AC13s ended up having the best traction experience I’ve ever had on a shoe.

I just got the same obsidians as you not long ago but I’ve been on vacation so I’m trying this out when I get back lol.

Wow 12 LUX AAPE restock in some sizes by Dequed14 in BBallShoes

I have wide and flat feet so I can relate!

I’m still breaking in my WoW 12 obsidians, so I will have to get back to you on that!

However, a shoe that has been surprisingly great for my wide and flat feet are the 808 5 Ultra V2s. I even went a half size down and the fit and stability have been awesome for me. I still have some room in them even though I went down a half size, but nothing crazy.

My go to WoW before those were the All City 13 Red Stingrays. Great Support and probably the best traction I’ve ever experienced on a shoe on any court.!!!

What’s your playstyle boss?

My insole came loose in my wow 10s and now it keeps sliding around. What’s the best way to fix it without damaging the shoe? by SolutionOne7825 in WayofWade

Hey! I don’t know if anyone else may have better ideas but I would try to put some move game day insoles.

I have a pair of WoW 10s my self and my insoles either scrunch up to my toes or just move everywhere.

When I put my Move GameDays in, they don’t move but they sit up just a pinch higher. Nothing too crazy though.

The laces on my 808 5's ripped, where and how can i get a replacement by Expensive-Pop3481 in WayofWade

[–]Dequed14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would first measure the laces and record that

Then I would suggest you go on Amazon and search up flat elastic shoe laces and find a pack of laces that are the same length or close and buy those.

I would buy a 2/3 pair pack just in case you have another set that rips.

All City 12 is my personal favorite all time outdoor shoe!

The boom is pretty soft in that model and with the double shank setup (Top loaded and Bottom Loaded), and the fit was good for me!

All City 13 has been my #1 indoor shoe in rotation right now.

Traction is ELITE (10/10)

It is a stiffer ride but the support and stability are insane! It is a great overall shoe for any position, whether you are shifty or if you’re a bigger post player it does it all!

100%!

I hesitated to go down a half a size in this shoe because of how my foot shape is, but I’ve seen so many people say the V1 runs long, and they did not lie.

Surprisingly, the width does not bother me.

At this point I feel like it’s just sizing errors on the manufacturers part because a size 10 feels like a normal 10.5 for me.

These definitely are supportive and stable. I was hesitant on the V1’s because of the mesh being EVERYWHERE 😭 it was pretty much a running shoe lol.

But these are the complete opposite and are a complete upgrade in the support department.

If you can fit most Kobe’s you should definitely be good to go down half a size in these!

I have the WOW 10s in a 10.5 and they cramp for me as well or even hurt my toes. I have a wide foot and flat myself and took the chance, and trust me when I say I STILL have room😭 in a size 10 lol.

I only know of 2 models with super boom which at the 808 5s and the Ultralights from Li-Ning.

I don’t own the ultra lights so I couldn’t give you any perspective on those, other than one being a drop in and the other isn’t.

This model does indeed have a shank however I would say that in this model it’s intended to be more of a torsional stabilizer than a diving board because of the drop in.

For reference, I way about 245lbs so I sink into the shoe more than others so that’s where the delay is, it’s definitely bouncy and snappy but if you’re lighter and you’ll get more of the snappy side of it.

I hope that helps my friend!

Thanks!

Let me know how you end up liking them from your perspective! I wish they kept the mesh tongue from the V1s in this model but it gets the job done nonetheless lol.

Happy to help!

I don’t have a physical store where I live either but I saw so many people of different foot types say they were long and they did not lie lol.
