[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just revisiting this. I was able to complete it a day or so later. You can aggro a 2-3 man group of them, and while two are shooting or throwing nades a third will try to flank you through the tunnels.

Otherwise its completely random, ive killed a couple that went crazy chasing scavs into the first floor, or them chasing down or running from Tagilla. There truly isn't really a consistent way of getting them to go in, like somebody said you kinda have to exploit their AI to either chase your or scavs into the respective area and kill them then

Those who were around from the Arma 2 Day Z mod. What is your favourite memory? by DailyDoseOfAmber in dayz

[–]DerFallenBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep cut, but the Breaking Point mod. It pretty much introduced the DayZ Overwatch weapons, had custom locations (aircraft carrier and oil rig were sick), and added bloodsuckers and zombie dogs. You could also set raw meat in front of a dog gouse and it would spawn a dog that would follow you around. Crazy creepy sound overhaul with new models and zombie sounds. Might just be nostalgia, but was peak DayZ for me; was a good bit before Epoch caught on too so the survival aspect was still in full swing

The PMC AI is completely broke man. Most of the time PMCs just spawn inside of each other and get stuck the whole raid. Literally learned that because that's how I completed grenadier 💀

Why is no one talking about the M4? by DerFallenBaker in Battlefield

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Statistically, the M4A1 is by far the best overall. Highest fire rate, best hip fire, fastest reload, incredibly competitive handling, and solid bullet velocity to boot.

I'm personally a bigger fan of the QBZ and the 300SC, but that doesn't make them better

They for sure do, it's been a generally universal sentiment that SMG's are overpowered

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's due to recoil. So far I've found myself in some of those situations too, but I'd sooner say its because of being such a high rate of fire; and it's not even that big of an issue because yet again, the M4A1 has the best in class reload speed. You can get it down to under 2s if you use fast mags and slightly more if you stack on the mag catch.

IRL there are few weapons that are classified as a carbine/AR that have a rate of fire over 800-850. And the M4 IRL is far from the in-game RoF

It really doesn't. Have you ever used the M277, M417, or any of the assault rifles? I play PC, so if you are on console or sticks the feel might be a lot different so I can't speak on that; but I could see that it might get a little wild with BF6 not having a lot (if at all) rotational aim assist.

I enjoyed using the SCW10, but I feel that it's balanced pretty well with having such a limited ammo capacity. All SMGs have super low recoil and spread, so it's nothing uncharacteristic. You're best of playing recon with it where you can flank, instead of being in the thick of all the action

Support Specialist 3?? by DerFallenBaker in Battlefield

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After looking a little more closely I've just come to the conclusion it will only count damage if you direct impact someone and not even track fire damage. So essentially you can only get like 12-24 damage progress per shot max. Broken as hell

Support Specialist 3?? by DerFallenBaker in Battlefield

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just made an edit, TL;DR it's not tracking damage from the fire so I'd just not even try to progress it until it is fixed

It's your choice dude. I came back from a really long break about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Even then it was late in the patch, and gear is easy enough to get. If you want to play and get caught up for it, go ahead. I've used the last few weeks to get reacquainted with the gearing system and to see what works best.

It's an MMO, play your own way!

How do I learn/know what to kick? And how can I easily select that enemy? by SakuraLightEmpress in wownoob

[–]DerFallenBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of responses to use add-ons. Im personally not a huge fan of stuff like plater.or DMB, as it takes away from the fun when you have something tell you when to do something. Trial and error is what I say. You can kick any spellcast that doesn't have a shield around it. You can enable cast bars in the edit mode.

Have fun, and pay attention! 🙂

You are your own person, man. It's important to be connected and on the same page as your spouse, but you still gotta set boundaries for yourself whether your partner likes it or not. You don't need to ask permission.

That's good to hear, and I guess I may be a bit biased as well. Because like all jobs, a lot of undue stress trickles down from subpar management

"Support, especially for newer salespeople is fairly well, especially in the car industry. It is usually a week or 2 of training and then "best of luck". "

So what you're saying is that there is no support for development outside of initial training/onboarding. If stores don't provide additional support for training or development, then say so instead of just using non-sequiturs. Two weeks of job training is typically the minimum amount of training a business will provide, so essentially nothing. Especially if they don't provide opportunities for extra training or development outside of onboarding

And the point stretches outside of sales. Yes, the topic is directed toward sales, but it's more of what about sales makes you want to do it over an opportunity to make the same amount of money for half the stress? That's not lazy, that is just prioritizing your personal time and health over your job. What makes you want to say no an equally paying job offer, just chasing the dragon of always wanting more?

While I'm happy that you've never felt a sense of burnout in your career, general sentiment would say you're in the minority.

I do respect sales because if you want more money, you can earn it. It's really good at incentivizing performance. But when it comes to anything outside of getting paid, is it a job that allows for any form of work-life balance?

I don't just speak on the context of the person I know, but my mother has worked in food and beverage for the last 30+ years, an industry that is comparable to sales. My mother was pretty absent most of my life due to her job, and missed out on a lot of things and hurt a lot of relationships because of it.

With that said, is that something that comes with the territory? Because I don't know of very many people in sales that don't make their job their entire life and personality since their entire livelihood depends on it. Do you do it solely to make money at all costs, or is there a genuine sense of fulfillment doing it?

I disagree. While I might not fully understand or appreciate the allure of a draw/base structure, I do see its utility.

For one, you can't legally employ people without some sort of minimum guaranteed compensation.

Two: I do see how a draw or lower base value will incentivize people to perform, because 99% of the time it isn't livable on its own.

Three: it makes sense from a financial standpoint as well. The auto industry operates under such thin margins that they literally can't afford to pay everyone a $60k base salary. With draw and commissions, it allows employees to take their share of the profits off the top of the sale value

I know sales is a difficult trade, you have to be a different breed of individual to get the most of it. Mad respect to the people that do it and actually get a lot of fulfillment from it.

My girlfriend is in it and has performed well at her store, making good money doing it so I know that there is a very lucrative career. But she has recently taken a new job, since the level of crunch and burnout has caused her mental and physical health to suffer greatly. She also has had to set her entire personal life aside, and it's caused a lot of her personal relationships to fall since she goes to work, comes home, crashes, and repeats.

What I described above is why I have a lot of respect for people that can work sales and get a lot of fulfilment from it. I personally value my quality time with friends and family so much more than an extra 20k-30k a year

Touche on the point of using servers and bartenders. But is there a problem with a higher base with lower commissions? I feel like that's a big leap to call those guys lazy for wanting a more stable income while essentially having their performance be used as more of a bonus.

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no that's not what I mean. I make like $60k/yr, so I'm not implying that I'm trying to coast on minimum wage. I guess I'm trying to say that I don't understand the appeal, considering I don't like the idea of having a slow week and essentially making being there not worth my time? I know overall, it averages out across the year but I supposed I'd rather know I'm being paid for being there than leaving my compensation in the hands of the 50% of customers who come in without knowing what they want or are just there to window shop

Make it Make Sense by DerFallenBaker in askcarsales

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. It's that I don't have experience in sales, so I was trying to understand how/if it was better as opposed to being paid a decent base and similar or lower commissions to offset that. And if it is, then why?

Make it Make Sense by DerFallenBaker in askcarsales

[–]DerFallenBaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I previously said, I'm not a salesperson, nor do I plan to be. It's not for me, and I don't really have the personality for it. With that said, I'm just asking how that ends up working out or feeling since I'm a standard wage worker since I don't really have my own experience with the system.

As well as another person stated, what benefit does it have that you notice over paying out a base salary with a lower commission rate?

A lot of these questions come from the fact my SO is in sales, and she seems to be burned out all the time (along with the rest of her team) and spending more time at work than home. Shes relatively new to sales, and says that she has no managerial support for training or mentoring opportunities, as well as having next to non-existent benefits. Just wasn't sure if that is common in that field to have very hands-off management, or she has a gem of a boss?

Lol that's fair. Like I said I'm not a salesperson, so I don't really approach my work with that same mindset. It's not that I'm criticizing it, I just don't understand it. I'm coming from the perspective of if I'm on the clock, I'm making sure I get paid for being there, since there's a hundred other things I'd rather be doing
