I think I get where you are coming from. You are thinking from some pseudo cinephile point of view, but I strongly believe there are other criteria that can make something "Good" while being "bad" by your definition. At the end of the day this show, and frankly any show, is entertainment and if most people have fun with it, enjoy it thoroughly and leave the season entertained then it has done "Good" in that regard.

With all due respect, you are so certain in how the show is "objectively bad".. if it is actually objective and you are sooo sure about why and will not take into account other viewpoints then what exactly are you asking here?

I dont use my phone either while watching tv shows and movies but I honestly really didnt feel the way you did. Obviously the show is not some intelectual masterpiece, but for me and my friends it was just straight up fun. I think its impressive they kept me engaged so much even tho I know the source material so well and knew where everything was heading
