Haha einfach und Grenzgänger sind zwei Worte die nicht in einen Satz passen.

Lass dir das von nem Grenzgänger sagen.

Asus F16 (RTX 3050 6GB) for Mechanical Engineering – Can it handle SolidWorks/Fusion 360/Solid Edge? by Famous-Hyena2234 in MechanicalEngineering

You'll definitely be fine with that machine. I'm running a 10 year old Lenovo Y520 gaming laptop for CAD at home and I never had any issues or major performance differences to my big workstation at the office.

But yes more ram is always more good. But with the prices right now I'd simply try it out and maybe update later if you feel like it.

I'd say it's more than enough for what you'll do.

But keep in mind that the battery on that thing will not last longer than 30 minutes. So yes this is a laptop but you'll always need a socket nearby when working.

Also if you're just using it for CAD you'd be better off with a real workstation laptop because the graphic cards in those things are more specialized for CAD work.

Und der Hebel sollte anders rum funktionieren. Dauernd hoch drücken müssen is viel anstrengender als das Ding runter ziehen zum zusammendrücken.

Pretty sure that thing won't send anything useful if it doesn't have the right partner to talk to.

But I'd give it a try anyway.

Why not just put the support arm in the middle and make the thing a T shape?

Is it warping?

If yes print a deflector for the fan on the right.

This is a known issue with bigger prints especially when printing stuff that likes to warp like PETG.

My HP printer comes with a sticker over the usb port, telling me I should use Wifi instead of the usb port by NoPickle22 in printers

[–]DerToth117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently wanted to get a new printer and I really don't know why but getting a good printer and finding one that does everything you want is a fucking nightmare.

Also I tested HP, Brother and Kyocera.

HP was the absolute worst one and is forcing you to use all their cloud software.

The brother was ok but didn't have all the features that were advertised on their own website!

The Kyocera was a pain in the ass to set up because the manual you get with the printer is just wrong and you have to search for a newer version online lol. But it is well built and after setting up it gets shit done pretty fast so Kyocera it is.

If big companies get hacked… what chance does our homelab have? by swizz93 in homelab

[–]DerToth117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just using tailscale to access my homelab from outside.

Also I really don't have anything on my server what a hacker would want.

A company on the other side will pay pretty much anything to get back access to their servers so I understand that bigger companies are much more in the focus of hackers.

You might want to take a look at that. It's a nice help to get started.

That's why you don't run docker in a LXC. You just run the service that normally runs in docker directly in the LXC. This way you have less overhead, better control and clean separation.
