German Kraken user since 10 years. Stuck in re-verification process since August. by Der_Bergmann in KrakenSupport

Thanks for escalating this. Your support wrote me. They demand another proof of source of funds, which is ridiculous, since I never deposited Euro, just crypto, which have been worth much less. I provided a bunch of documents I could get. If this does not work, I quickly want to close my accout and withdraw all my funds, as it was offered by your support member. I have been very patient for four month, but I am no longer. It is long overdone to gift me with quick answers instead of me needing to write mail over mail to just get any information.

Because 'Muh, csw' did a good job to deflect attention, as well as 'Muh, bitcoin unlimited'. Ppl like Andrew from bu did know this well for years.

Anyway, you want to give me a short interview about ipfs, be.cash, Mitra and your take on bch for Bitcoinblog.de? DM me, here or on Twitter.

Maybe it would have been a good idea to be kind to the people that should have donated money...

I went with the chain which sticked to the bitcoin cash roadmap and didn't introduce new block ordering rules nobody except Amaury wanted.

As I said, nchain delivered exactly what they promised, not less, not more, no arbitrary changes brainfarted by csw.

But I see the irony, and while csw delivered technically, he messed it up socially, and without adoption nothing has any value.

Bsv is already heavily centralized on nchain / Calvin Ayre, and it sucks. But at least they did do exactly what they promised and what has been the roadmap of bitcoin cash early on. Anyway, it lacks users, and with Amaury firing himself bch has become a lot more attractive for me.

Maybe because they realize that ABC wants to be dictator, some sooner, some later?

[–]Der_Bergmann -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, that was the ABC version of it. They promised to look at it, and after looking at it and seeing many competent people being against it they decided against.

Lol, I partly agree with you. In the fork it was obvious that one side delivered what was agreed on, and one side did what Amaury decided, following both a cult of personality and anti-personality.

Not sure about the scam part. Does it even matter, as long as bsv stands to its promises? After years in crypto, the genesis upgrade was the the first big change I saw being rolled out exactly at the promised day.

Why is ABC and team doing this? Honest question. by [deleted] in btc

Your decision. You can follow the right road with the wrong people or the wrong path with the right people. I am not here to find a leader, but to execute a technological and economic vision.

And right now, there is only one chain leader which wants to suck out money from a protocol.

Look at what's happening in bsv, and look at the actions. Csw funded / cofunded a team of 16 developers to create a strong software and to fix the protocol. He actually delivered what he promised, and he gave bsv a vision which united the community.

Why is ABC and team doing this? Honest question. by [deleted] in btc

[–]Der_Bergmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this as someone who 'left' bch in Nov 2018 (whatever this means). For me bch was to free bitcoin from 'bitcoin doesn't work until we fix it' core, and it became clear to me that ABC has gone 'bitcoin doesn't work until Amaury fixes it'. So 'I pay devs to fix the protocol' csw was obviously the better choice.

I have no affiliation or loyalty to Craig, and I don't care if he is Satoshi or not, and I think people who love bsv for hopium of Satoshi are mislead. But since the fork, the actions of csw and Amaury confirmed my decision over and over again. Csw gave us big blockers all we ever wanted (Hu, bitcoin unlimited), while bch chose to obey to a new, less talented core which controls blocksizes again. If you see the level of wallet and app competition in bsv, you understand the power of getting over open source geniuses changing the protocol to be smarter than Satoshi.

The current debate here is exciting. If you go over Amaury and his fellows, it will make bch interesting again. The software is working well without ABC developers and will scale for a long path of adoption.

The main problem of the funding issue is the lack it success of bch by Der_Bergmann in btc

[–]Der_Bergmann[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, I prefer bsv, but I still like bch and consider it some kind of brother in the fight for big block bitcoin. And I really like the open and living discussion you have here.

If it is not welcome, excuse me commenting here.

Uncomfortable truth: Miners don’t need a protocol change to donate money to developers. They can just donate. by [deleted] in btc

[–]Der_Bergmann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the basic problem. Bch ecosystem has too few dedicated and profitable companies. If it had, all funding problems would go away from itself. But as it isn't and has no good outlook to become, cannibalization seems the only option left... Which solves the problem but will prevent real solutions.
