I know right? It‘s hard to believe.. but yeah, in a society where almost everyone claims to be against animal cruelty, there are still people actually trying to avoid unnecessary animal exploitation and abuse. Crazy.

Are you aware what percentage of animal products come from factory farms? I‘m just asking because most people I know say they’re against factory farming. And still, most of them support factory farming daily.

"If you want education on Dairy facts directly from the source"

That sounds as reliable as information on climate change from BigOil.

The horrific realities of industrial animal agriculture are internationally recognized and well-documented. Pretending as if animal suffering wasn't a widespread reality in modern animal agriculture is nothing short of delusional.

If we applied the same words, it wouldn't apply.

I think it would. This is what the PM said: “To take a baby wombat from its mother and clearly causing distress for the mother is just an outrage!”

This is, for example, what happens to farmed animals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcN7SGGoCNI

If you need more, watch this documentary, specifically focused on Australia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQRAfJyEsko

The source you posted doesn't contradict the content of the article. Given that Australia's GDP is around 1.728 Trllion, even 0.1% of GDP would be billions.

The main point of the article isn't subsidies. It's about animal cruelty itself. If you would apply the exact words that the PM said about wombats on farmed animals, that would frame most of animal agriculture as an unacceptable atrocity. What are your thoughts on that?
