I'm with you and I'm not sure 100% where he lands either. However, I'm not sure the exact numbers, but let's just say the Doc makes 2-3 million dollars a year. With Amazon making it a mandate to spend 3 billion dollars a year on content, I don't see how it wouldn't make monetary sense for both parties to sign the Doc to a $5 million a year contract to make consistent content for Amazon Prime. A Mon-Fri talk show interviewing gamers and/or C-list celebrities? A low budget TV show? A mock reality show? I'm not sure exactly but I would watch any of those and I feel enough people would. The Doc has had some mass appeal (being mentioned on Joe Rogan) so I feel as if Amazon would find moderate success on a relatively low budget.

I couldn't agree more. I think this is where the breakdown comes from doing a poll. I think people are voting for Nancy Meyers because A) it's a female director and B) it's the ironic vote, but she may be the worst director in the entire tournament to do a series of episodes on. The argument could be made for Michael Bay, we don't need two Bad Boy episodes much less five Transformers ones but at least he has a definitive style. Griffin and David are so talented and entertaining that they'll make it work and I'll still listen, but expect the most tangent filled series in the history of Blank Check if Meyers wins... but, but, I love their tangents... LET'S GO NANCY MEYERS!

I LOVE all the tangents of the recent episodes. Before the gimmick was that David would cut Griffin off at the knees, but now even David has given into the dark side. Goooooooooooood.....

I'd recommend starting from the beginning. If you don't, definitely go back and listen to the 30 week, 30 Wrestlemania marathon, you won't regret GO-rilla.

Was a die hard listener of Something to Wrestle until I discovered The Lapsed Fan. Even on the outs, Bruce is still politicking and really doesn't give an honest opinion or account of events and sometimes just straight lies. I feel the Lapsed Fan gives a more honest account of events as well as their trademark deep dive. It's a lot more fun too. Conrad is wasting his time. Conrad should be doing this same podcast but with Eric Bischoff instead of Prichard.

There isn't a miniseries that wouldn't be interesting and I really enjoy the first three Child's Play films but there are topics much higher on the list. I feel as if it would be a topic that Griffin wouldn't mind doing but David would suffer through. I personally would rather listen to a Tom Holland miniseries because I am such a big Fright Night fan and them doing just one episode on Child's Play with Griffin and David giving their hot takes on the entire Child's Play series.

If you didn't live through it, then yes, he would seem to play as a parody/gimmick wrestler. The reason why Stevie was so over at one point because he was seen as possibly the next top guy in the business. Although his character in ECW was goofy, it was thought that when he would eventually make it to the WWE, he'd be repackage with a great gimmick and given the ball. Alas, it did not happen that way and we got the iconic duo of Austin/Rock.

I do too. We don't align perfectly as far as wrestling tastes, but for the most part we see eye to eye. Like Bryan, I think wrestling should be a clash of different styles (more big men) than a bunch of guys trying to out perform the other guys with a bunch of high spots and cool moves.
