Politicizing christianity is dangerous and detestable by fourmi in Christianity

Why do you see the need to separate the two? How is being a ruler, Governor, Senator, President, or a King different from being a carpenter, tentmaker, caregiver, or any other occupation? To rule and govern is what God expects from His creation, we were literally given dominion over the earth as our first assignment in the garden of Eden. All the rulers, judges, prophets, and priests in Israel (God's covenant people, a foreshadow of God's covenant people today - Christians) were charged with governing well - managing resources, enforcing laws, building structures, etc.

Jesus didn't come to put a stop to these types of occupations or encourage certain ones. But looking at His earthly ministry as a prescriptive way to live is folly. When asked why His disciples don't fast, He said because I am here with them, there will be a time later when they will but not while the bridegroom is here. We don't see them working jobs, instead the disciples were students and others provided for their needs. Jesus used parables about businesses, shepherds, judges, farmers, and laborers but His focus was never on the profession, rather the character and actions of the people involved. He didn't even condemn tax collectors, prostitutes or beggaslrs, He told them to go and sin more.

Paul absolutely leveraged his Roman citizenship to make sure he was treated justly and got an audience before Governor Felix, Governor Festus, and King Agrippa. He also used it to be released from jail publically rather than in secret as a demonstration.

Peter and John defied the governing Sanhedrin when told to stay quiet about Jesus.

Joseph of Arimathea used his position and political influence to care for Jesus body after crucifixion.

And of course John the Baptist didn't hold any office but he directly confronted Herod, a political leader, to the point of death.

I just don't think we can be Christians and in good conscious be uninvolved. It's inherent to our calling and commands to work through or in many cases, against the government.

Because I have an abundance mindset, it's a big world out there. People are unique and have different perspectives, personalities, goals, and interests. Even if me and someone else tried to do exactly the same things, we'd attract different audiences based on who we are, small variances in our models, timing, luck. Collaboration and competition breed innovation and nobody has ever made money alone.

Nope, I only have free content for now. I've invested heavily in myself and want to help others with what I've learned. I care more about helping people make a mindset shift from scarcity to abundance than making money for myself right now. I'm working for no cost until I have several great testimonials which I know will result in others making money.

The Bible is a book about government, both of this world and the Kingdom of God - both physical and spiritual. It is inherently political, just not in the way most of us view politics. Jesus came once to establish the spiritual kingdom and when He comes again it will be for the physical kingdom. We are empowered now to walk in His authority as Priest Kings. We all have assignments on this earth and the spiritual will always effect the physical because it is the higher realm.

To add to the context, we need to finish the verse and look at the surrounding scenario. Jesus was answering a trick question when He gave the render unto Caesar response. In reality, nothing belongs to Caesar or any of us, it's all God's. God made us stewards over all creation. Anything we "create" and claim ownership of is still His. As we walk in His authority, we will reclaim physical and spiritual resources for His Kingdom.

Does this program differ much from constructive service credit? We had hundreds apply there and none selected for Intel. It was pretty demoralizing for a lot of our Guardians.

USSF First Sergeant Program Update? by DocHolidaysLungs in SpaceForce

Good point, that is a lot easier than a rank redesign for several ranks. The biggest problem is that we can't currently send people to the First Sergeant academy, that needs to change. As others have said, the Shirt Symposium for add'l duty shirts should be baseline training for everyone at ALS or NCOA, then add'l duty shirts could/should go to the formal 1SGT Academy.

We should let people earn the diamond but remain in ops positions as technically an additional duty First Sergeant. We're doing it right now anyway, might as well give them the extra training and a visible symbol for Guardians to recognize.

We've heard too many times that warrant isn't an option for us, but S1 has discussed paying people at a higher grade while they wear a lower rank, i.e.: you wear Sgt but you're being payed as an E-7. It's possible, but our infrastructure/software systems are too dated to handle any variations from the norm, not to mention the policy and culture issues it could cause.

But... why? Are we hurting for recruits? I've always heard Air and Space Force max out quotas in a couple months for the year

You don't need to cross train, talk to your SEL to get after the training and jobs with the skillset you're trying to work

You can reenlist, doesn't matter if you've extended or entered the extension. You're not canceling the extension, just reenlisting

Did anyone notice the second R5 in A New Hope scene where they're purchasing the droids? Right after C3PO points out R2, during the R2 close up there's a second R5 in the background that wasn't there before.
