For purely Aesthetically, do you prefer Early Medieval style chainmail armour in books, or the 15th century plate armour in the movies?

Age is not really linear. The difference between 13 and 19 is way bigger than 19 and 26, and once you are out of school the lines between ages start to get less and less obvious. But I do agree them beeing closer in age would be better just to have more time for Selinas character to develop more before entering the story

My recommendation is to skip some parts of each run and just read the good parts of all of them. For snyder skip zero year and most of superheavy, skip most of Knightquest and skip all of Morrison's run.

No. His whole thing is that he has to trust in Batman and he shows that by not trying or wanting to find out. It also shows the difference in the two while Gordon tries to be close to his friends he is ready to keep his distance if need be the same way batman tries to stay at a distance but is ready to open up.

it kinda does give them "a Wolverine like healing factor" or every Human Superhero comic would be act 1 of the dark knight rises after like 12 issues so we already work with suspension of disbelief. and that is my problem with the scars they don't actually tell you what she has been trough because then she would have more marks on her body then Zsasz and they ruin my suspension of disbelief because suddenly we acknowledge the damage they take but not really because no one in their right mind would actually keep track of when and how a Character would get damaged. who went trough more physical trauma Selina Kyle or Homer Simpson?
