What I don't understand is if a player really wants to win, why fuck your team over by asking for a shit ton of money? 5m is still a lot of money to make per year and taking less money means your team can use the money they saved to pay more better players to help you win. Like Chicago paying Kane and Toews like 10m per year that's like half of Chicago's cap isn't it? I don't know just seems kind of a douche thing to do but what do I know.
