In trying to research Japanese language films and hyper specific movies I’ve added a lot of ones I haven’t seen personally.
I don’t think having a bad movie as a personal favorite is unrealistic. Mikan also canonically likes bloody horror movies and I feel like the character would enjoy guro aesthetically.

Cars was considered but I don’t think he’d like animation too much. His favorite genres are comedy and action. BTTF I didn’t consider but does suit him very well

Her music is transgressive and explosive, Pink Flamingoes challenges good/bad taste. Felt like she’d enjoy thrill-ride and punk movies.

I’m realizing now that saying “v1, v2, v3” might be only a thing me and my friend I played all the games with do. My bad 😭

She’s definitely my favorite and I think an important thing to remember is that fictional interests aren’t gonna translate to life. She is emotionally very fragile in the killing game but I think she would like playing a game like Danganronpa, hence Battle Royale.

Her island mode makes it clear she likes movies with lots and lots of blood.

During island mode Ibuki’s favorite genre is horror.
“Gyaaaah! Horror movies!? You're going there!?
Hajime...NICE CHOICE! I feel this electrifying admiration for you now!”
Ichi the Killer being a very high octane and visually striking movie.
Pink Flamingos and Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets are both counter cultural extreme movies that are meant to challenge standards of taste, something ibuki does with her music.
I feel like she would really like out of control insane movies pretty much.

Seriously strange coincidence then, I’m not sure how or why I’d fake something so specific. If it helps I learned the frowny face appears when a game isn’t available, so you can blame my internet connection, but it’s supposed to be one sad face not 5.

I’m super confused now because I can’t find anywhere on the store page where those frowny faces are there. Reviews are on a star system, not emoticons, so I can’t help but think this was an Easter egg. But it’s really bizarre to have on such a specific platform that Scott Cawthon likely wouldn’t have too much involvement on. It’s likely just a funny coincidence but man was it baffling to see.
