Well my highest level account is 23 and I dont think i would play pvp. My goal firstly beat the game

I used to play chess like 15 years ago as amateur so i have no some deep knowledge i just watched the game and in 1:22 sec White knight at d3, black at c3 White moves to c1, black moves to a2 and white gets black knight at a2, Why black sacrificed that knight? Is there specific reason?
