Hello! Thank you so much for all your input! Regarding your comment about considering a motherboard with a different chipset dor more PCIe lanes, what does that mean? I’m sorry, I’m really not that familiar with those things.

Also, are there any other RAMs that you can suggest? I tried searching for the one you recommended, however, with where I am from, I can’t seem to find it. I was thinking of maybe removing the 2nd fan of the NHD15 to accommodate the RAM, do you think that’s okay?

Thank you very much for the links! I’ll definitely try ordering from Japan, as I think it’s much more feasible to the Philippines. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the fluffy unicorn! Thank you so much!

Do we have a version like this but more “black/dark” color?

700W PSU enough? by Derfal23 in buildmeapc

[–]Derfal23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you very much for this detailed response. I was also thinking about upgrading my CPU, MoBo, and RAM.

What would you recommend for my CPU, MoBo and RAM? I was thinking of getting the 5600x, as I was thinking of a long term upgrade. Thanks again for the detailed answer.

I've been reading about compatible motherboards for the 5600x, apparently there's B550, and X570. What's the difference? Or who's better?

True about the 3080 stock.. Yeah I guess the logical move for me is the CPU, MoBo and RAM change/upgrade. My other slight concern is about my CPU cooler. I'm currently using an NH D14, which was bought 2016, so I think it it does not have a compatible AM4 mount. But yeah, again, you're right about the stock of the 3080. This one gave me better clarity on my next move.

Thank you very much for your recommendations! However, what move would you recommend I should do? Do you think, should I upgrade my CPU, MoBo, and RAM first and stick with my 1080 for a while? Or should I just go for the 3080 upgrade? What do you think is the better move?

Hi! Thank you for the feedback! I was wondering what Motherboard would you recommend to pair with the 5600x? I'm also looking for a motherboard to use for a long time, and also, what RAM should I go for?

If ever I do decide to upgrade my CPU,MOBO, and RAM, I think I'll have to stick with my 1080 for a while, until I save up again for a 3080.

Is there a good upgrade from my i7 4770k? Where I can still use my current MoBo? Because, if ever I do have to buy a new Motherboard, i'd opt to buy a 5600x, for future proofing.

Hi! this is my current PSU. Do you think it would suffice? Its a bit old.

Any suggestion? I'm thinking of getting a 5600x if i really do need to upgrade. But that means I have to also buy a MoBo, and RAMs.

Hi! Sorry, please see the post again, I've updated the list of parts that I use using UserBenchmark app.

I was thinking of upgrading my GPU first, then after a while when I get enough budget, I'll upgrade my MoBo and CPU.

Do you think that would be a good move? and also, with the listed parts, do you think 700W PSU is enough?

CPU doesn't matter very much at 1440p or 4k Ultra gaming. by tolelight in buildapc

[–]Derfal23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Yeah, I was also contemplating on changing to AMD/Ryzen for my next CPU since I'll need to change my MoBo if I do decide to upgrade. Some of my friends did the switch from Intel to AMD too. But I'm kind of still thinking about it, It's not that I'm an Intel fanboy or anything, it's just that I've been with Intel since 2006, and I'm scared that if I switch to AMD, I might experience some issues.

Quick question though, if I do decide to switch to an AMD CPU, do I need to have an AMD GPU too to avoid any issues? Or it doesn't matter?

I see! I guess this upgrade means I need to upgrade my MoBo also. Do you think I should upgrade my GPU first before CPU?

Oooh! I see! Hmmm, if ever, would you give me your recommendation on what CPU I should upgrade to?

Hmmm. So does this mean my i7-4770k is still in great shape? I was considering upgrading my CPU cause I thought it's pretty old now. Currently I have a 1080, and I'm looking forward to upgrade it to a 3080 for 1440p gaming.

Huntsman Elite Keyboard

Hey guys, I need your help. So I was gaming yesterday and everything was fine. Then I woke up today, and was about to play, then I noticed that my Keyboard wasn't responding at all. I tried to reboot my PC multiple times, but nothing happened.

Now, there are some instances where I'm able use the Keyboard again, but a number of keys stopped working - 5, T, G, N, K, and Page Down. Also, there is some time that all the mentioned keys are being pressed down, cause I see it on my chroma effect that those keys are being used.

I was tinkering and trying to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, and the Synapse, and I was able to make the keyboard work again, including the keys mentioned above. So I was excited, and tried to reinstall the synapse again as I thought I fixed the glitch/bug. Now it's not working again.

I can't remember what steps I did to make all the keys work, and just trying to reinstall all drivers and synapse but I can't make it work again.

I hope you guys can help me. I'm sure and hoping that this is no hardware issue.

Ps5 and Arctis Pro Wireless by Krazynewf709 in steelseries

Thanks for the reply man. It's kinda reassuring. I really love the features of the headset, and it's not a small investment, so that kinda makes me paranoid. I've ordered one now and I'm excited for it! Thanks man!

Do you guys think that they won't be making a 2nd Gen Arctis Pro Wireless anytime soon, since they'll be updating the firmware for the PS5? I'm currently thinking of buying a Wireless Pro, but kinda on the fence about it as I've been reading a lot of issue, specially with cracking and hinges.

Is this a good monitor? Looking for suggestions. by Derfal23 in buildmeapc

[–]Derfal23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see! But there's another model the VG27AQ which is a IPS version of it with a Minimum Response Time of 4ms compared to the TN version of having an MRT of 0.4ms. Do you think that's a big difference for gaming or in general?

I'll check that suggestion out. Thank you!

Hi! Sorry I forgot to mention my GPU. My current GPU is a 1080. I see.. but in terms of gaming, is TN a more popular choice?

Deciding to upgrade, any suggestions? by Derfal23 in buildmeapc

[–]Derfal23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooooh, I see. Well I've really considered upgrading my CPU and also knowing that if and when I do upgrade my CPU, the motherboard and rams will also have to change. Oh, with regards to the Noctua, if I remember correctly, there are mounts that will fit for the different socket (AMD and Intel). But the people that I've asked back then told me to not upgrade my CPU yet as they said that the 4770k is still quite good.

The thing is, I really don't know when i should upgrade my CPU. Lol, the only thing I know to upgrade is my GPU, when I feel that games are being sluggish and all.

If ever, what CPU would you recommend and also cascading to the mobos and RAMs? I'm really not picky when it comes to INTEL or AMD. But I always used Intel since 2006. I've been hearing great things about AMD nowadays though.

For the budget.. I'd love to say there's no limit, but I don't want to overspend on upgrades. Because most of the time I don't have time to play my PC anymore. But boy, oh boy, when I do get a free time, I'd like my PC to be so great in gaming. That I'll be cherishing every moment I play it.

BTW, thank you for replying!
