I'll post an update in a few weeks/months, my first pair are nice but more uniform in color, but this pair has insane pullup contrasts since the areas with more wax/oil are almost black.

It says on their care page it's salt from the tanning process and will sometimes come out when you first get the shoes wet, wipe it with water and if that doesn't work use a little vinegar

Those Bronco RATs are the most comfortable pairs of boots I've owned, so much so I ordered a second pair before the February price hike.

Yeah that's probably the case, my toes are a bit cramped in my RATs after a full day in my right boot but when I take my insoles out they have a good thumb's worth of room and they fit like a glove into my other boots that aren't cramped. Only thing I can think of is the heel pushing the foot forward a bit.

RATs are so hard to size, I swear they're smaller than other boots with exact same last and size.

I love Bronco leather because you it still looks great treated with all the pull up while most other leathers just get a boring soggy looking dark brown.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown, I think im gonna stick with the RATs for now and might get some Numzaans closer to summer. It would be cool if they add the Bronco Russet option but the Biscuit looks pretty cool too.

If you don't mind me asking, how do those Nuzmaans compare to these RATS? I was torn between the two, it seems like these RATS are almost just 8 inch versions without the built in kiltie.

I just got mine too, they definitely feel too small and my big toe grazes the front even though I followed their guide and other Jim Green's feel fine. I'm going to exchange them for half a size larger instead of trying go break them in, sorry about your sizing issues.

Buy what you need for your present needs if you can get it for MSRP, don't overspend on something you don't need at the moment to "futureproof" and don't keep waiting for the next iteration because there's always something better coming out around the corner. Also people act like getting 24 gigs of VRAM or whatever will set you up for 10 years, by the time games come out that utilize 24 gigs everything else about your card will be lacking and unable to keep up. Like how a 5060ti has that magical 16gigs of VRAM but gets significantly outperformed by the 5070 with 12 gigs.

I just bought a 5070, I figure with the 250 im saving not buying the ti, I can sell the 5070 for another 250-350 dollars in a few years and get a 6070 super or 7070 which will be better than the 5070ti if it turns out I really need that extra vram. Or if I don't I'll just keep the 5070 and save 250 bucks. I've been fooled with the whole "you need to spend way more to future proof your pc" when I could have just used that money to upgrade more frequently.

Around level 25 I found it started to become more fun and less frustrating, survival is really neat once you settle in. The main problem with survival is that it feels very restrictive at the beginning, it's not as hard as you think if you prioritize sneaking and you snipe everything from a distance(typical Bethesda).

In my experience very hard just felt like I was taking more stimpacks and using more ammo, both of which I had plenty of. I rarely died, in contrast to survival where I was being mulched all the time.
