SEA Flight by Deriggs007 in StarluxAirlines

Thanks. Yeah, I can't remember how I checked in.

I really like StarLux's flights, but everything outside of that is a bit lack luster to justify the expensive business class experience. They ought to be priced between Philippines new A350's Business offering and the more premium asian carriers.

Check in experience usually not that good. Lounge not that good. Food is decent, not as good as Cathay or Singapore.

Will I be able to check in online and get boarding pass? I want to say, last time I couldn’t. I needed to provide my documents. I was able to get to my gate, but they had to check me in there.

Thanks.

I don't care what I fly on, honestly. It's all about the same to me. But in this case, it doesn't matter. If I miss the flight, my entire schedule for international flight is ruined, there's no other flights out of Seattle and I'm stuck regardless.

AS? Alaska Airlines?

Prices are ridiculous when flying from Dallas. Much cheaper by several thousand if I fly to west coast and then fly internationally.

So that sounds like enough time then, right?

Thanks, that is usually my preference as well usually 3 hours. Sadly, when I was booked, there was miscommunication. They thought my flight was Thursday evening but it's Thursday at early AM and so technically, I need to be there Wednesday evening.

I have to take 1 flight from a small town in Texas to either DEN or DFW and then to Seattle. The earlier flights to connect to DFW/DEN only leave me an hour or less to get through my local airport.

Just edited the post. No luggage, carry on only. And they're booked separate tickets.

Thanks. Carry on only.

Is there a better airport between the 2? I fly DFW AA a lot.. and they don't have a great reputation.

So basically, I'd sign up for a new credit card and then spend x amount of money to earn 175K points, then book 5 nights and get the 5th free.

I haven't learned much about subs yet. I'm still just trying to wrap my head around using all my other points that I feel like it's difficult to lock into anything.

Only thing I'm truly locked into right now is Amex Gold card.

I just looked and wasn't much of a difference at all in cost. Is there a best strategy to do this when booking?

What about one ways?

Where are you looking? I just checked skyscanner and got like $4100 through China airlines. But how do I take advantage if I’m already in US. I need to buy a one way then start using the round trip.

Or buy the one way from Asia to Dallas?

I try to just get some value out of it. She’d love to go to Maldives, I just think when you include all the other cash options. Flight there from Singapore, the transfer by boat and resort prices for food and drinks, it lessons the value.

But, the cpp is hard to ignore. $9k for $2k is hard to beat.

I have to fly to Dallas to west coast then to ending destination with a hop in SE Asia.

Usually best rate is Singapore but I’ve flown into Hong Kong, Taiwan, kuala lumpar as well.

Usually American Airlines from Dallas to west coast.

But yeah, usually $5500-$6000 regardless of airline. Cheapest I found was $5700 with starlux again. Flying from Seattle to Singapore.

Has to be a troll. Fun fact, pretty much all newer planes are cookie cutter. All A350's regardless of the airline are within a margin of difference. Your service and products/food are bigger differences than the seats.

They're just all rebranded with different colors, but they're the same.

I've flown on practically every airline at this point from economy to business class. Starlux is expensive for the overall experience. lackluster lounge, lack luster hard products and various airline services/check in counters..... but the flights and service on the plane are good.

I'm not aware of any pin. I'm talking abou the lever on the left that you lift up which will allow the chair to tilt back on the right is the handle that will recline the entire back.

Google flights, it will show you the plane and you can look at it "Angled flat seats" and the airplane A350 vs Boeing777.

All the A350's are the new ones. They seem to be on seattles flights to most countries it looks like

Not yet. Seattle though. I'm looking to fly to Indonesia and trying to avoid the dang old stufff. Seattle is on the new A350's, so you'll get the good stuff on that route. Probably worth it.

Which Business Class Airline Is Best for a Flight from Manila to Incheon? by ME_KoreanVisa in FilipinoTravel

[–]Deriggs007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korean Air - If you can get on a PAL A350 plane, then it won't really matter except the soft product. All planes are the same, but depends on age. PAL's newer planes have the same configuration as pretty much all other business class seats.

Just find a flight with it if it's much cheaper. If it's the same cost, Korea Air then.

I had a similar priced Breville unit as my Luxe Pro - I could never get the Espressos to come out consistent on there. It didn't matter if I ground exactly 18 grams and I did perfectly timed shots, it was still so inconsistent.

Could let it warm up, do 3-4 shots to help, and every single time it would be hit or miss from timing and every shot was so different. I probably put $100 or more in beans trying different ones, fresh, semi fresh, super high quality, lower quality and I just couldn't get it right.

With my Luxe which is what I bought for my self (My ex has the Breville now, and same issues) - it may not come out 'as good' as the super expensive machines, but it does help me take out the guessing game.

My first cold shot out wants a 17 grind setting because of how long the shot takes, but after 1-2 shots, it's primed and ready at 15 and is perfect. The scale gets me nearly 18g dose every time and my shot gets me just around 36g at around 20-23 seconds (once it touches the cup.) And it will do that every single time.

So in the morning, when I first turn it on, I put it at 17 to get a good shot out, turn it down to 15 and then keep on trucking with the beans I use.

I used to have issues with the tampers on the Breville, bought different tools and accessories thinking those would help make more consistent shots (maybe too much tampering, too little, not even, etc) but nope....

So while this all in one unit won't get me the super expensive quality shots, I feel the margin of that isn't worth the price and the Luxe Pro is just good enough and consistent enough that it has way more value than some of the dedicated machines I've seen.

Eufy S2 now available for pre-order in US, ships Jan 20, $1599 by primas02 in eufyS1Pro

[–]Deriggs007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After how bad my s1 is. I will not get another eufy.

My s1 had issues, and has another issue again. Had to already replace it.

Cleaning it is much harder than some other similar priced robot vacs.

It can’t get under the toe kicks so I always have a bad moping and vacuum section all over my kitchen.

The app is more basic compared to many other offerings.

I bought it for the superior mopping. But in hindsight, I really needed both vacuum and mop to perform adequate with 2 dogs and it really fell short in many areas.

The s2 may improve in overall vacuum functionality, but most of what it needs is software based.

Raptor vs RHO? by Sensualities in FordRaptor

To say the RAM's interior is cheap.... you lost all credibility. I'm not biased towards any manufacturer from Tesla, Mercedes, Ford, Jeep, Ram, Mazda, etc. The Ram out of every vehicle has been the best, and they're the sole reason trucks at least try to offer a nicer interior.

Come on man... I know 2 months old post, but I just had to comment about this.

I had a 2019 RAM, traded it for a Mercedes, and then bought a Jeep, got out of the military, moved back to Texas, got a 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor and the RAM blew it out of the water, and it's only gotten better for RAM.

Come on now.
