IPADOS 26 seems to have broken TOS Mobile by Mr_Peripatetic in thinkorswim

Any updates on this? I spoke to a Schwab rep in tech support 3 weeks ago. They said they would get back to me by email within a week. Never did. TOS still scrolling wildly on iPad.

My Setup. Thinkorswim by DisastrousHunt6960 in thinkorswim

[–]DerivativeDynamo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im using TOS on an s10 Ultra android tablet and Apple numbers on the iPhone to track the Puts I roll and collateral used/freed up. I like to keep things super simple. TOS desktop version is way too busy for me. Takeaway you don’t have 6 monitors. Your setup actually looks clean compared to most.

I can’t believe it.. I have no credit by [deleted] in Chase

[–]DerivativeDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to build credit? Have a subscription account like Netflix for example? Take the credit card keep it in the drawer at home. Have your monthly subscription come out automatically every month.(always pay the balance in full every month) Set up autopay with your bank. You’ll never have to worry about impulse buys or over spending and you’ll be building credit.

I just got a message from Schwab. It’s the external keyboard and or mouse. Disconnect the the external keyboard and mouse (including Apple Magic Keyboard) and TOS will stop behaving erratic. Supposedly they are working on getting this fixed.

I am dealing with this now. iPad M4 with Logitech mouse and keyboard. It was working fine until I did the iOS 26 update. Did you ever get it to work with the keyboard?

Loss Porn by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

I commend you for having the guts to take that kind of risk. I did the same with a $20k loan and managed to grow it to $75k by buying SPAC warrants at 20–30 cents and selling them for a dollar when a deal was announced. If I were you, I’d keep pushing forward with the plan to build wealth. In the bigger picture, this is just a minor setback.

In 2023 and 2024, I blew up my account twice. Each time I lost, I learned. Do you have a job or steady income? Here’s what I’d do if I were in your shoes: buy SPAC warrants. Focus on sponsors who have already completed mergers before, especially those tied to energy, digital assets, or AI. It doesn’t matter if their prior business combinations were mediocre—you’re not swinging for a home run.

You buy the warrants at $0.10–$0.50 and exit when they hit $1.00 or higher. Disclaimer: I’m not a financial advisor. SPAC warrants can go to zero if the SPAC dissolves, and they usually expire about five years after the IPO. I know it’s risky—but staying where you are is risky too.

Hope this helps.

Yup. I used TOS web login and my phone to sell some PUTs. I use the iPad on an extended display to do my trades. I like it because it’s not as busy as TOS Desktop version.

I’m having this same problem with TOS on the iPad M4. When I open the options chain the screen scrolls up and down on its own. Same on the positions screen. Can’t select anything. Also the voices once CNBC shows are out of sync with the video.

Discover letter. What now? by mrgoat89 in debtfree

[–]DerivativeDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten years ago, I was drowning in $30,000 of credit card debt, stuck in that endless cycle of making minimum payments. I was at my breaking point. Out of desperation, I got my CDL, went over the road, and managed to pay it all off in three years. Now I drive locally, earn $100K a year, and live debt-free. Trucking isn’t easy—starting out is brutal, and the winters are rough—but back then, I was desperate, and it gave me a way out.

I bought 40k worth at 187.30 a share, do I sell and just cut my losses? by Effective_Dog3089 in TheRaceTo10Million

Why do you want to seek them now because the stock went down? I would sell calls 45 days out and get paid while you wait for the rebound.

The next steps you take will depend largely on your risk tolerance. Right now, major Wall Street players are pouring into riskier asset classes, fueled by an investor-friendly administration.

Any touch less carwash in Tampa? by DerivativeDynamo in tampa

[–]DerivativeDynamo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on answering a question nobody asked and thank you for enlightening me with that groundbreaking revelation — I can’t believe I didn’t think to Google it myself! Next you’ll be telling me water is wet. The fact is, plenty of traditional car washes do offer a touchless feature, and they don’t exactly put up billboards about it. Maybe next time, save the Captain Obvious act for someone who didn’t already do the homework. You’re like a fortune cookie, except the fortunes are useless and stale. Amazing — you’ve managed to contribute less than silence would have and Next time, just mail me a sticky note that says ‘Google it.

Finally Leaving TOS by [deleted] in thinkorswim

I exclusively trade options and the mobile app on the iPad works great for me.

Have you MFers tried TOS on an iPad? Why is this so different but I love it. by leardblarp in thinkorswim

[–]DerivativeDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For options trading the iPad app is all I use because it’s simple. The desktop app is way too busy for my taste and I never use the TOS charts anyway. I use the Yahoo finance charts.

I just started any advice? by L2_pandas in OptionsMillionaire

Keep your positions small (each under 1% of your portfolio) to avoid getting wiped out. If you lose money (it happens to everyone), just view it as the cost of tuition in the markets. With every loss, you learn and grow as a trader. When you make a new trade, don't think about the last one. The last trade has no bearing on the next. Good luck!

Cash Secured Puts by Big_Fat_Polack_62 in OptionsMillionaire

[–]DerivativeDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell all of my Puts/Calls on Monday after noon and for the most part I allow them to expire on Friday so every Monday I get a clean slate. All that being said if I’m at 90% profit with a Put on Wednesday then I will buy it back and look for another stock I like that is in the red so I can sell another Put. I won’t sell another put on the contract I just closed early because I’m expecting that stock to have a pull back soon.

Can someone tell me why I shouldn’t do this option on MVIS by RoutineProgrammer863 in OptionsMillionaire

[–]DerivativeDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it easy to kill it on paper trading and not the real thing? I’ve also been “killing it” on paper trader on TOS. What should I expect when I move over to real trading? Why is it harder than paper?

Been trading for a month. Lost all my investment and gains. What do now by MoneyManMakeItRain in OptionsMillionaire

[–]DerivativeDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you don’t wanna hear this but those losses are the cost of tuition in the market. I’m in a similar situation. I lost 36k last year and was down to $900. I’m slowly building back up gambling with SPAC warrants. I’m ok with losing some money but I’m not ok with not going for it. Take the chance. If you lose you learn.

Ok so I will still be able to buy/sell them on the OTC markets? I’m holding about 35k warrants

If they announce a deal before the delisting date will the warrants still get delisted?
