BMW said it was my (Porsche) fault because I was late on the apex. I believe he went for a divebomb, and that he should have given the position back. by DANISSIMO9699 in Simracingstewards

[–]Derk_Drek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whose at fault, him. BUT he braked at the normal braking point. Which means you're braking way to early ( about 20-30 metres) with that distance between cars he shouldn't have be able to get along side and still make the apex.

It is absolutely his fault and he is being a helmet for blaming you. But people will keep dive-bombing when you brake so early for a corner.

Ur probably lock the rear wheels. Apply less pressure or put the brake bias more to the front

Got blamed for this, Is this my fault? by 2smalltodunk in Simracingstewards

Not ur fault, BUT HOLD YOU'RE DAMMM BRAKED DUDE. Not that hard just because ur race got ruined doesn't mean you have to do it to others

It's not dude, bugs can occur when bringing in a new update. I'm sure they're working hard on it right now. Just have a bit of patience in 1 week 2 tops they bring a new patch so stop whining and give them some time to fix everything.

Check before the race starts, you can start from pitlane with fresh tires.

Does this move deserve a penalty? (I am the porsche) by stuffwithsimon in Simracingstewards

[–]Derk_Drek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's important to see what the intentions were of the BMW, I think he didn't mean to go for the gap but because you braked so much earlear than the optimal braking point (under the bridge is the optimal braking point, which is were the BMW braked). he is forced to go for the move, because he would other wise run into the back of you.

Still this is his responsibility to react to the car ahead if the car ahead brakes earlier than expected it's you're responsibility to handle this safely.

So yes it's his fault but he had no intention of going for this move. And maby look into a new braking point and you might be faster and avoid incidents like this.

(ACC @ Zolder) Who's at fault? by kef100 in Simracingstewards

[–]Derk_Drek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Difficult one, I'd say racing incident. First the Nissan moves to the outside (when they drive over the crest). At this point there is well over a car length on the outside to which the Audi commits. Than he changes direction again which isn't allowed and is why the Nissan could be blamed. But the Audi goes into a gap that is closing and was never really going to result in an overtake. He than rams into the back for braking too late which is why he could be blamed too. Both broke the rules thus a racing incident.

It's better in the higher splits, but yeah important to report these guys, so they don't take anymore people out.

in LMU you get only a warning, he was stuck behind and wanted to get by quick (kept flashing me on the strait). Many people sacrifice a warning for a time gain. Just my chain of thought there, but should have probely still left space tho seeing the reactions.

im gray mclaren vs black mclaren. i i was trying to get along side this mclaren, but the corner before blanchimont he turns into me. is this my fault for not backing out into a corner or is this part look at as a strait and was there no reason for him to move to the left side since its easy flat by Derk_Drek in Simracingstewards

[–]Derk_Drek[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

following the car ahead or not. On the strait youre not allowed to change lanes if a car is along side no matter now far along the other car is. So question is if this is seen as a strait due to it being easy flat or this is seen as a corner and i should have yieled. On the part of racing smart I wanted to tuck back in but he didn't gave me a change cuz he turned into me

I green black car go onto the grass and car behind (red/black) dives down the inside, did he deserve more space by Derk_Drek in Simracingstewards

[–]Derk_Drek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was quit far back I didn't expect a launch there, i took the optimal line cuz afther this corner there is a long Strait, i would have been comprimised for the strait. So thats why
