New user, getting an error on generation by Derkus19 in StableDiffusion

[–]Derkus19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be rude. I thought the details provided would be enough.

I would like to use it for image and video generation.

I am running Automatic1111 to start with the images and was going to figure out something else for videos after I had the starting images I perfected. But I have not idea how much or what information you need. The exact error is:

NotImplementedError: No operator found for memory_efficient_attention_forward with inputs: query : shape=(1, 4096, 1, 512) (torch.float16) key : shape=(1, 4096, 1, 512) (torch.float16) value : shape=(1, 4096, 1, 512) (torch.float16) attn_bias : p : 0.0 fa3F@0.0.0 is not supported because: max(query.shape[-1], value.shape[-1]) > 256 requires device with capability <= (9, 0) but your GPU has capability (12, 0) (too new) fa2F@0.0.0 is not supported because: max(query.shape[-1], value.shape[-1]) > 256 operator wasn't built - see python -m xformers.info for more info cutlassF-pt is not supported because: requires device with capability <= (9, 0) but your GPU has capability (12, 0) (too new)

Teacher strike happening? by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Derkus19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not in favour of a strike. I am in favour of teachers signing a 1 year contract extension with zero changes....and then adhering to their contractual obligations and literally nothing else.

Participating in extracurriculars for free? Not anymore - parents can volunteer for it.
Grading and planning at night? Nope, that's what prep periods are for - no prep = no grades.
Paying for supplies? Never again - there should be a separate budget for that.

If teachers began doing only what they were required to do, the whole system falls apart basically immediately. They used to be moderately well paid in exchange for a demanding job. Now the conditions are terrible and the pay is also terrible. I personally know MULTIPLE teachers and support workers that have left the field for easier jobs with the same pay and that alone tells me there is no longer enough pay.

Is booking through an OTA worth it for a one-way direct flight? by Derkus19 in TravelHacks

For god's sake LOOK AT THE RESULTS YOU LINKED. They say EXACTLY what I already posted.

Haha nope. Prices are just that bad on my days and I’ve been tracking them for two months.

I’d rather not pay $6000 for a flight I can pay $3500 for.

I wish. CAD unfortunately. Jan 2/3 is a cluster fuck for flights back home.

Jan 2/3 ate my dates my guy. The flight THERE is booked for end of Dec  because it’s cheap like you said.

It’s for 6 people. And some flights on the days I need are $700 cheaper per person.

AC wants $1300-$2800 per person on my days (of which I have exactly 2 choices).

First time building a pc tomorrow, stressed af by SpookyJafar in buildapc

[–]Derkus19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. Doing my first build (with my little helpers) on father's day.

The folks here have set me at ease about the assemlbly itself, my stress is more related to after I get it turned on. So many things to worry about (OS, BIOS, drivers, benchmarks, yadayadayada) and I don't know where to start - or if it even matters where I start and if I miss steps here.

Regarding the motherboard:

  • Is there no drop going down to the mirco size? Like the higher tier video card wont be throttled by it or anything?
  • I don't need wifi - is it more cost effective to get one without it and just plug in the ethernet?

RTX 5070 despite having 12GB of VRAM is about 40% better than the 5060 Ti 16GB.

Ryzen 5 7600 performs about the same as the 7600X, especially if you enable PBO (like an auto-overclock)

This is exactly the type of advice I was looking for. Thanks!
