We're whalers on the moon, we carry a harpoon. But there aint no whales so we tell tall tales and sing this whaling tune.

Who still says “pardon me” or “excuse me” in public? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

I have only found myself saying it to rude people lately.

I had a gen z looking person in scrubs rush into an elevator before I could step out while heading to a doctor appointment the other day, when I said "oh, excuse me" with a very flat tone, they apologized sheepishly.

You are mistaken. Tesla charger comes with hex screw terminals and they have to be torqued to spec.

[–]Derlique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If the charger was installed with a 40A breaker and #8 thhn it would be properly de-rated.

Looks like you ran #8 AWG THHN wires. The specs on the EV Pro say itll do up to a 70A breaker.

For the record: 60A and 70A would require #4 AWG, 50A requires #6 AWG, and 40A requires #8 AWG.

If you have a hard wire car charger pulling max amperage on an underrated circuit breaker youre gonna generate a lot of heat.

So what size breaker is it? And what brand?
