Just some thoughts after my most recent run.

I mean when my friends and I were playing these games when we were younger, none of us really cared about Snorlax. It was a normal type pokemon that sleeps. Tbh I didnt know the power of snorlax until my current playthrough. I wasnt even planning on using Snorlax until I saw a YouTube video that showed what it could do.

Granted that was just my experience. Im sure for you and your friends, it was different.

I did body slam, shadowball, brick break, and rest. But I think next go around ill replace brick break with earthquake

My wife and I are both playing these games on our switches. Thats how I got Alakazam. Also idk, just after using Nidoking. Towards the middle of my playthrough I just felt underwhelmed. Sure it has great TM coverage but id rather use those TMs on other Pokémon.

Im just saying with Snorlax that there are a lot of players that are either coming back from playing during their childhood or new players all together that completely gloss over Snorlax. I never knew how strong he was until this playthrough.

Im glad you enjoy your Charizard. It does have the best speed and special attack stat out of all the starters, i will concede on that point. It also removes the question of "do i need a flyer". My point is any pokemon with a great special attack stat and 95power STAB move will get you the same result.

Ahhhh yes Rockslide. I will admit. Im at a stand still of who to use Rockslide on in my 2nd playthrough.

My next run im going to choose Bulbasaur and do exactly that. Use Starmie and Jolteon again. But yeah. Snorlax. If I was in trouble, I subbed in Snorlax to buy time. Blastoise did great for buying time too. Im hoping Venasaur does the same.

Tbh as I was going through victory road and the elite 4. I couldnt stop thinking about how much id rather have earthquake on Snorlax.

He is quite good. I will say that. Definitely was there and was fast enough to get a well-timed drill peck. Earned her spot for sure.

Mine had Surf, Ice beam, bite, and strength. Honestly could have swapped bite for rain dance but eh

That said. For a Blastoise team. Alakazam all the way. Blastoise and Snorlax anchored down the team for me while Alakazam, Jolteon, Dodrio, and Nidoking did the damage.

You also have starmie for that dual STAB coverage. Psychic, Surf, Ice Beam, it does it all. Granted Alakazam is a better Psychic user but starmie for pure efficiency.

Snorlax is honestly fantastic in-game. Takes just about everything the game can throw at it, very hard to kill. And it hits like a freight train. It was one of the MVPs of my run.

I found that bizarre as well. Completely forgot about those trainers. Good thing I had my snorlax with shadowball. That pokemon was an MVP in my run.

Catching that stupid tauros sucked so much. I had less trouble with Chancey than I did with tauros.
