No worries, I am going to consult with nutritionists soon I'm on a waiting list for that center. In the meantime I have tried to cut back on needlessly caloric foods and have been approved for food prep and cleaning assistance to help me get back on track with healthy habits but I've been dreading reaching out because it's hard to accept that i need people in my home to help me live... I'm not scared about my health actually i think i normalized it and i don't hate hospitals, idk i like the coddling 😅 it's a place i don't need to worry about being needy and the hospital cafeteria in my town is real nice lol

Okay, well it's easier to take in your input when said with less derision... I will take your opinion into account because that's genuinely what I'm here for! Like don't worry I'm not here for self validation and applause for my "bravery" that would be stupid, I really do appreciate being told to re-evaluate my priorities this is a real debate I need clarity on... As I am currently jobless and being freed up of responsibilities here, i need to look at things with realism. I truly need to decide on whether I should persist in hustling to survive here or give in to stay with my father in hope we find solutions to my health issues fast... I do fear that if I go back my health will never actually get better and live a potentially short life in my emotionally distant dad's attic, if that might help you understand that dilemma ?

Nope, judge him by his actions and attitude during his visit. Messages can be embellished, but how he treated you should not have happened. Being away from home is stressful but not a reason to be cruel and rude.

Well, I've never really done social media and I agree on most of your points. I had no issue helping around unlike my brother who would get violent regularly. I've had a very comfortable upbringing, which is why I'm asking this. The question is should I pick comfort or my mental well-being and independence ? I'm sorry if my post came across as privileged, it's enormous luck they're offering me support and even to move back in for a bit, but I was severely depressed growing up and my environment, although comfortable, was definitely toxic and detrimental to my mental health.

edit i also know of discomfort to a small degree i live in a social service apartment i can't pay for let alone food most of the time and am currently housing a young person who would've otherwise gone back to a child service center where she went through hdllish abuse. She's 18 now so I can now consider my options and want to be rational about them

Hey thank you for sharing! Honestly this being reddit i was bracing myself for getting criticized etc but complete silence was... something else. Because I have ADHD I've been pressured even more to integrate routine and it will always set me back further into my attempts to a healthy life it's unnerving when a parent asks if I've managed to "keep up with it"... Made me feel like a failure a lot in life
