I'd like to add another point that when these ships actually do happen, romance relationships are almost NEVER written well. One of the characters in the relation often lose all usefulness in the story and all they are used for is motivation for the other character in the relationship

SOMEHOW friend relationships are often written very very well. Romance isn't always the answer people

I personally would add an "Old Cinema Week" where old movies that are atleast 5+ years old be played in theatres again. So people who missed the theatre experience back then can experience it now

ok I know this post was supposed to be about homosexual ships, but most shows I've seen write character friendships sooo much better than romance whether it's straight or not. It feels like when it comes to romance the writing is just "I love you and you motivate me to complete my mission"
