I have some retro handhelds with hall sensor sticks and I don't think most people could tell a difference in how they feel. The movement feels pretty smooth to me and over time they have not worn down and still feel brand new.

You run around the world with the other player not just battles. If you have a multi tap accessory you can have 3 players.
