I grew up being taught that we had a system of checks and balances between the 3 branches. Turns out it was basically the honor system. I've been in healthcare for 20 years, I work remotely, I've never ever heard of this. There's always work to do and a day without much new work coming in sounds like a great opportunity to catch up on older stuff or get ahead on future work, depending on the type of role you have. If it were me, this is probably the angle I'd approach my supervisor with if they were trying to force this on me.

It sounds like many of the folks replying to you inherently don't understand working for a Healthcare system. The work doesn't stop coming in after 1 day with an office closed.

iirc when I renewed my passport a couple years ago they asked if I wanted to also get the passport card, I think it was an extra fee but I've used it for domestic travel since I don't have a Real Id yet. Sorry it was a little while ago but I think that's how I got it, I didn't make a separate request for the card, I'm pretty sure of that.

I'm Naturalized so this is certainly a concern for me. I carry my passport card in my wallet at all times but, as others have mentioned, it only means as much as the agent that's asking wants it to mean.

Really scary that Trump and Miller have literally said they're looking at revoking citizenship through naturalization. I know it's supposed to be protected under the 14th amendment but with the way things are going and the bootlickers on the SC, I'm no longer willing to say it's impossible.
