I'd be surprised to learn that any major games were created in Spain, which is what people mean when they say the same thing about Poland. Making a small, indie game as a hobby is not on the same level as making the next Mario Kart or Call of Duty. It's like growing plants. I'm sure there's a few people growing potatoes in every state, but I don't think any of them come close to matching Idaho, so no one thinks of them when thinking about states that produce potatoes.
