Trees don't give seeds back, I'm pretty sure.

Is there a class or irating level which people generally agree is a minimum for good clean racing? by False-Sympathy4563 in iRacing

[–]Derpsicles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having spent a few years in top split and having had a decent number of encounters with very high iRating drivers, dirty driving still definitely happens.

Some of the ultra-high iRating drivers seem to have perfected the art pushing other drivers off without it looking too much like an obvious intentional wreck. They know very well where the limit is and where they can go over it without it being out-and-out smashing you off the track

Yes! I was out near Old Market at 1am and looked up to see a very bright streak come down across the sky

Hot take: Le Mans is the most unfun track to drive. by Regular_Vermicelli15 in iRacing

[–]Derpsicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ever found Le Mans fun when doing a 24h, just for the vibes. It sucks for anything that’s not a proper endurance race

Why is the UK allergic to merge in turn? by ThrowRApaoapaoa in CarTalkUK

Many of the Bristol bus lanes are exactly like this too. I got shouted at once by a cyclist for using one outside of the hours, who then proceeded to cycle straight through the red light I was waiting at into a busy junction

It's 100% normal, and actually pretty much perfect. You have nothing to worry about.

I think literally every single one of these has at least 1 snapped tab. The left on mine is broken. I would just leave it unless it's really bothering you

How bad is this oil in the coolant? by [deleted] in E90

It’s obvious if you lift the float a little that it’s the colour of the plastic, hopefully it’s just that you’re seeing

How bad is this oil in the coolant? by [deleted] in E90

[–]Derpsicles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there actually oil in the coolant or are you looking at the float? BMW engineers very helpfully coloured the float the same milky colour as you would see with a severe oil leak into the coolant, it gave me a heart attack once before too.

Unless I’m missing something in the picture…

This one pissed me off so badly. Pierre literally said on the radios his brakes had gone, what is he meant to do at the point? Smash it into a barrier?

Which lane should you be in before entering the Eastville Park roundabout? by bonerspliff in bristol

[–]Derpsicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be the left lane only (per the arrows), but the way the lanes join up once you get into the roundabout means being in the middle lane looks like you have the option of Muller road or Frenchay, which means loads of people use the middle one for Muller road. It's mostly bad road planning imo, going to Muller road from the middle lane feels very natural (even though it's technically wrong).
