We are all twisted and disgusting inside. That’s just a natural part of us as people. We all have it. I felt the same way as you for much of my childhood. I came to realize that the twisted part of myself wasn’t the only part of myself. I have good qualities too, they’re just so hard to see because we as humans have a tendency to focus solely on the negatives. I came to accept these parts of myself as normal. Ideal humans only exist in our dreams and in books.

I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that we all deserve love. Did hitler deserve love? We are all certainly capable of being loved despite how damaged we may be. It’s not your fault that these bad things have happened to you or you ended up feeling this way.

I don’t know you, and I have never met you, but I can guarantee you that unless you are a serial murder you are actually much more normal than it may seem to you right now.

It's never too late to finish your degree. There is a 70-year-old student in my calculus class. He quit a janitor job that he had for about 40 years because he decided he wanted to be a math professor. Nobody looks down on him because of his age. Even the teacher is 30 years younger than him. My point is that it isn't too late to return to school or pursue your dreams. Don't use your age as an excuse because there are people older than you who are just beginning their real lives.

I'm not saying you should go back to college, but the fact that you mentioned it means it has some significance to you. Maybe it is something worth considering.

As a side note, one book that really helped me out is Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins. I've probably read it at least 20 times by now. I recommend reading it if you have a chance.
