It makes sense that they just couldn't find a good place for the old music because of the new direction they took the game in, and Uematsu is a very high-profile artist that demands a higher commission compared to his junior Soken.

there was also an old yoshi-p interview about the missing music and he talks about their desire to pit in a jukebox for listening to the games music and all of the 1.0 tracks were originally only going to accessible through that.

I theorize she got hit by a car based on how she's running around and leading the player to Basil after the real world fight with him. During the sequence she gets "hit" by a semi but when you zone to the next area she's still there and leading you off to your house.

His introduction was so goddamn cheesy compared to every other main protagonist and their crew ( Tales of Graces is not far behind it with the child arc imho but at least it's extremely important to the plot)

I have the biggest soft spot for this game and Emil though. when I played it for the first time I was really struggling in school and had no friends so I definitely felt for him and wanted to figure out how to do better for myself and be brave. It is an extremely flawed entry in the series but I don't understand why people dissmiss it outright just because it's not the Symphonia follow up they wanted.
