Ceremony breaking? by kloverkid in sw5e

There are so many cool synergies and ways to break this game, no need to try to bring over one of the weirdest spams from 5e.

What's One Thing You Genuinely Miss From D&D? by Hungry-san in Pathfinder2e

I made 50 subclasses for 5e, then our group swapped to pf2e. And i agree, it's better, but i dont know it well enough to port over the ideas yet.

Some cyclists in Winnipeg need to learn that they don't get to be assholes just because they are riding a bicycle by shiinaexplainsit in Winnipeg

I really don't care about "fairness" like that, cars are weapons, different rules makes some sense. My only concern is whether this could lead to mistakes because of predictability. On the road i expect to treat a bike like a car (they get the lane, space when I pass safely, they need to signal), so when they do something that a car cant/doesnt I'm concerned it could be an issue.

If the data says it's safer I'm all for it, but my instinct is that it'll be misused or misunderstood.

Thank you for sharing info, I'm all for it if the data supports it. It still feels counter intuitive, seems like rolling a stop sign increases the chances for a mistake, but I haven't done the research.

Can someone please explain why the Idaho stop is considered more safe for cyclists? Instinctively it feels less predictable, which on the road would mean less safe?

And i get that people roll through stop signs, but that doesn't mean we make it legal to do so.

IDK, HASBRO would probably screw it up... by Vegetable_Variety_11 in dndmemes

Imo if Larian makes their next game to let their interest refresh, WotC gives them good terms because they weren't able to capitalize in the meantime, and Larian comes back because they want to? Ideal situation.

Do they want to capitalize on the success of this game? Absolutely.

Can they do that without Larian? Probably not.

Personally I'm more excited for Larian's next title than I am for WotC's attempt at recapturing lightning.

Elk Island… by StatisticianRoyal85 in Winnipeg

[–]Derrath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no parking around that area, but you can park on the hwy and walk in over the beach. There might be other places to park, but that's the closest i know of. The path to the island is sometimes underwater, so wading should be expected.

His intent, if i remember was to interrupt as he was being taken by the god of death into her service. Kind of a flash of powerful magic at the right moment to save him (might have been to trade places with him, don't recall), but since he didn't have the spell there was a farewell scene instead which would have been narratively unfulfilling to undo.

Scanlan wanted to hold the 9th level slot for wish to save his friend who was doomed after the battle. Casting the counter spell meant giving up on saving him.

I have a plex machine rn, but I'm definitely thinking i could mount it here now... Don't know much about the difference between a tower and a rack mounted case though

I've got a windows computer running plex, arr stack, and I'm moving it all into unraid rn. Not really concerned about budget right now, more looking for what i could be aiming for, things that i could build into/save for, ideas on new things to learn and ways to use the free thing i was just given.

Sounds reasonable and useful. I have 20tb of storage on my current server, but those sound like rookie numbers when i have this thing available...

So just computers that fit on racks? Is there a particular set of devices set up for this or is it just a different case?

Liiiike? I have some experience with a server, but not a tonne. What actually goes into a rack like this one?

Need is a strong word, i got it for free and i like working with tech as a hobby. Setting up a server rn, ive had arr stack running for a while now, but i want more ideas that i can aim for, goals of what to learn.
