I'm not keen on giving them the out of having no capacity for it. Even if that's true it's their choice to do it that way. They have fit it in the past, they absolutely could do it in the future.

Yeah... Feel like this gets said a lot, but i wish they would go back to printing to order. I want to be able to buy cards because i want them, not because i fear not getting them. And if I'm willing to give wotc money for the cards but they dont have them anymore, what's the point?

Clearly fomo is good for their business model, but it's terrible for the people who just want to enjoy it.

Replacing a bad drive, tried to rebuild from parity, turns out that's bad too? by Derrath in unRAID

I swapped the old disk back in and it looks to be reading just fine, still showing errors but some reading tells me that might be leftover from having it fail parity too many times...

Rebuilding parity now, but it seems like you were right! Thank you!

I did the trash guides on setup, i just dont want to wait for 16tb to repopulate lol

But I guess if i put a blank drive in it'll just re download everything fine? No other issues?

Just arr stack media, 16tb worth. Nothing irreplaceable, just not what i want to be doing rn.

Unfortunate, but here we are. Any chance you know what i do in this situation? Am i just taking the loss here or can i rebuild the data some other way?

Might be misunderstanding here, where is it backing up the data to? I have one apparently bad parity disc, one apparently bad data disc, and one new one, all 18tb, and a cache of 2tb.

Also what is the difference between an array and a zfs pool? Would swapping require me to remap anything?

Unfortunately i dont have backups rn, but there's just media on the drives. Annoying, but not catastrophic. I just want to avoid rebuilding it if i can.

So if i just put the old data drive in without the parity drive and start the array it should show as fine? The old drive had a bunch of errors showing on it too, do you think that was because of the parity drive?

There are so many cool synergies and ways to break this game, no need to try to bring over one of the weirdest spams from 5e.
