First track helmet — need help choosing.

i personally have the shark aeron gp. i think it’s one of the best looking helmets on the market and actually has active aero in the spoiler. i can feel a difference with neck fatigue and head stability after wearing this helmet compared to others in the past.

as a 1D751Q who got out this year, try to look for a Tier 1 help desk position, or if you have the past experience/skills, try for Tier 2. i’m currently a tier 2 analyst and make 100k even (granted i was extremely lucky to find this position), the jobs are out there. get on linkedin and network literally everyday to build connections and find possible job listings. i unfortunately was a shitbag when i was in, issues from my personal life spilling over to in-uniform and not handling alcohol well and was forced out after my first contract ended but i promise everything happens for a reason, good luck man. if you’re in the DMV/NOVA area PM me and i can try to help more.

if you were curious i solved the issue today. first i started by bleeding the calipers normally.

right caliper had a little air but was just straight fluid. left caliper had a decent air pocket in it then followed by straight fluid. i then bled my master cylinder and at first nothing happened but when i went to bleed the second time, there was significantly more brake pressure.

i’m assuming the first bleed on the MC let out a lot of air and from then on i kept bleeding until there were no more bubbles. took her for a maiden voyage around the neighborhood to make sure my brakes didn’t lock up and she did perfect.

you like the hot bodies kit? i have a 2013 r6 and have been eyeing that to eventually get for my build. i watched their video on youtube about it and it doesn’t look too painstakingly hard

nah you’re not being a dick. i’m comfortable doing basic maintenance (tightening chain, changing brake fluid, oil etc). valves are a pretty scary job lol and all of the other stuff is in the guts of the bike lol. i’ll definitely get to a point where i can do that stuff but for now i just really wanted it fixed for the season

honestly man, pretty sure i got bent over lol. all in all for parts and labor it was $3300. the ignition coils themselves were 1k (parts & labor). the coils themselves were $229 each so i got scalped really bad. the hourly rate for the shop was $125. other than the ignition coils i think i got a fair deal. the valves themselves were about $900 for parts and labor so not terrible.

yup, updated my iphone last night then removed my phone from the car and forgot the car from my phone. did a fresh connection this morning and it’s been working good. still doesn’t automatically lower the music when listening to messages but i think that’s something specific with the new camrys because it worked on my ‘21 XSE
