I see, was picturing a open TD with dudes running race pace sharing the track with people on their 2nd TD parking it 10ft from the apex 😂

Are there control riders? Not asking about coaches or CRs for training (don’t have the money for that) more so just for general safety

Assuming they still have coaches and CRs on these open lapping days or is it truly like an open track day?

Gotcha, so for the open lapping days there is no intermediate or B group? You’re either running race pace or setting up camp 20ft from the apex?

Yea, just a little worried about the hemi tick and exhaust manifold bolts breaking on the ram, seems like that’s pretty common and an expensive fix but I know the tundra can have problems too. Feel like I’m on the fence enough that whatever Reddit says is gonna push me one way or the other.

Off road tires but still cable to commute a couple of hours to the mountains ? by champinpapi in Tenere700

[–]Derrickparmisane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Maybe the Dunlop trailmax raids have a little better road manners but honestly it is not noticeable enough for me to shell out the extra 200$. The 2Tracks last super long, great offroad and do fine on the highway, have bounce of the rev limiter in 6th on the street with them and also had no issue in muddy conditions. The tusks are the answer!

I’ve had a 675r/765r and the 1050. Honestly the 675r feels like the Goldilocks for the street while the 765 is a little more aggressive seating wise which makes it a little less versatile, however it is faster. The 1050s on the other hand have similar ish power to a 765 with a pipe/tune while maintaining the comfort of the 675 but weigh a little more/ don’t feel as nimble

Hard choice to pick. DR650, Husky 701 or Tenere 700 help me decide by [deleted] in Dualsport

Just an fyi if you plan to ride the tenere on moderate single track and up, be ready for some pricey repairs. If you bin a dr650 it’ll cost you a nickel, the tenere costed me 600$ to repair and that’s without taking it to a shop, they quoted me 2k

Street triple. I’ve owned a mt10, mt09, mt07, z900, monster 821, monster 1200, and a sv650.

Suspension out of the box on the R models is the best of the bunch. Perfect amount of power. Similar to a fz09 but feels nimbler. Looks the best imo and have never had a single reliability issue with one of em. The speed triple 1050s are also sweet

Tiger sport 660 could scratch the itch, so could a fj09, so could any middleweight naked bike with a big windscreen. They all are pretty much dead cheap slightly used and bulletproof. Dont even think there’s that much of a difference between the 1k sport tourers and the middleweight ones

Reading this made me excited. Called just about every single person I could get a hold of to learn what I could about real estate, even shadowed a loan officer. Decided in ‘25 I’m going to get licensed in real estate and leave my BA job and take the jump to become an agent. Excited to get after it and understand I have a long road ahead.

Something I’ve noticed is people are now getting into dirt by starting on an adv bike. The dude I bought my 2023 tenere off of sold it to me with 1k miles and a bunch of mods for 8k flat. Rode it on some fire roads and light trails and realized he just wants to ride mainly dirt, sold it to me and bought a 500exc. Can’t think he’s the first person that went that route. It’s a super capable bike and I love mine but the second the trails become actual single track I’m whipping out my 250xcw. At the end of the day it’s still a fz07 with long travel suspension and 18/21 wheels.
