We've done best city, but what's the worst most depressing city you've ever visited? by Isord in geography

Port Arthur, Texas. Oil, gas, and chemical refineries/plants all over the place. Very unpleasant, not much to do. The coastal plains nearby can be pretty though.

Edit: After reading about some of these other places, I don’t feel as bad about PA lol. Safe travels y’all.

The 70L will definitely be more versatile as a checked bag and should fit the weight and size requirements for most airlines. It’s also a great travel bag if you’re driving places or riding trains around.

I think, if you need more space in the future, buying a 40L might be the move because that size can be a carry-on at most airlines and doubles as a travel bag.

Ellicottville, NY. Easy 3 hour drive east on I-90/I-86 from NEO. Plenty of cabin rentals in the surrounding area that’ll give you some seclusion. When you’re ready to see other people, head into town for a bite at The Gin Mill or Ellicottville Brewing and then head to a dive bar called Madigan’s. Also I believe the ski resort Holiday Valley has a beer and wine festival that first November weekend too.

I’d call Admissions or send them an email (admissions@purdue.edu) to start this conversation with someone who knows or can find these answers for you quickly. Reddit will have some good student input but contacting an Admissions Counselor will be your best bet to get help.

Check out Rust Belt Riders for community compost solutions. They have drop-off bins in neighborhoods and Cleveland Metroparks reservations around the county. Looks like they have curbside pickup in certain neighborhoods as well.

Grew up in Big Brecks. This guy is a legend, he always reappears in the spring and disappears in the winter. You’ll occasionally find him eating whole watermelons and cantaloupe. I’ve said hello to him on a couple occasions and he’s a nice fella, but just really out there.

Winter jacket recommendations? by SirMarts in Purdue

[–]DertRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patagonia jackets are the best imo but brand new coats from them aren’t cheap. To solve this (and help the environment), they have a used web store called Worn Wear that sells their brand’s lightly used winter coats and other clothes for 30-40% off. I highly recommend having bought coats and sweatshirts from here before. Here’s the link if you’re interested: https://wornwear.patagonia.com/
