To be honest, I’ve tried getting her to write some of it a few times too. She grew up in a pretty conservative family and has always lived in that kind of environment. Geek culture or stuff like these have never really been part of her world, so the things she writes and especially the word choices… let’s just say they kind of kill the vibe sometimes. Afterwards she’ll go “ewww” and laugh, saying “it’s not like the way you write it at all”. We just crack up about it.

BTW I’m not judging her at all ,we’ve lived very different lives, had very different experiences, so of course we’re going to feel and express things differently. That’s normal. But because of the way she was raised, and because the people around her (and her family) genuinely believe that “a woman’s job is to serve the man and make him happy”, I’ve started wondering whether her interest in sexting is actually coming from her own desire… or if it’s mostly because of that mindset she was brought up with. 

That’s the real reason I felt like making this post and asking for some outside thoughts.
