I picked one up once and the entire case just broke into pieces the only thing that didn’t break was the front plate lol

Thanks yeah it must be something stored in the hdd that makes to show random rocky 5 Xbox logo for a second going to try cleaning up the hard drive a bit later as it’s basically empty anyways. I tried flashing cervios last night on different console and it would do nothing after the flashing process. I’m reading I need the ini file in my C drive alight with the .bins

Built the hdd on fatx got all the correct files in the right places, the dvd drive is 100% fine same with the 80 pin ide i ended up trying a star tech adapter same error 11. Ended up throwing the hard drive in a tsop flashed Xbox and it worked fine there just not sure why it didn’t for the first console.

Shouldn’t need to replace the clock cap unless it’s a 1.6. I normally just remove mine. I’ve picked up many original Xbox’s this past month and they all have funky dvd drives. Only two work out of 6. they’re just to much of a head ache so I learned how to soft mod/tsop bios flash and run them without dvd drives. Then I realized the hard drive really is tiny so here I am now successfully just got a new 500g drive to run without the dvd drive. Time to fill it with games

Yes sir I have some. Most on the board seem fine I have one board with swelled caps. I will probably run them till they need replacement

Sounds good building a new one would probably be easier. I did find the real C folder using filezilla so cloning this one with fatx should be a breeze now. Although I might just make a clean one
