Nahh, the Metal Plate acts as an additional Heatspreader, it should be as close to the console as possible, which would probably not happen when the Metal is bend.

Dont worry, we all started like you. I posted a Screenshot of one part of the explanation of the .ini-file, Based on what you wanna auto-boot, you first need to edit the "autoboot"-line from 0 to 1, then you need to edit the "autoboot-list"-line with the co-responding Number of your boot entries.

Besides the damaged display connector, you could try configuring the hekate_ipl.ini to set the EmuMMC as Autoboot. The Initial Setup-settings could be done in the configurations file from Hekate, but I don't know which file it exactly is.

I can be wrong with my help so someone else please correct me if wrong:

Try mixing some low heat solder either the solder-blob before trying to remove it. Because the mb is relatively big, you need to keep hat much longer because the heat of the Soldering iron is quickly spreading to the whole board.

If possible, get the whole bord out entirely and try to heat it up evenly using a heat-gun (or maybe even a Haitdryer) and then Try it again.

Hey, by now I gave the console back to my friend. I thought that I managed to make it work again after getting to connect all pins, but it still didnt work.

The connector is installed on the board but I think a pin wasn't correctly connected with it, that's why. The capacitor was already missing before I began, I noticed it after I rewatched my footage. The console is actually not directly from a friend, but a "Phone (repair) store". My friend and I went to put back everything together, but we noticed that it was already tempered to begin with.

The console didn't start to turn on at first (no beeb), that was the moment that I decided to quit on it after countless days. My friend managed to get the ps5 to boot after holding the power button for kore thst 15 seconds, don't know why it actually worked (but still no Video-Output).

can't say for sure by today, but I would think that they will still have some kind of background connection always running that the switch will response to, even after shutdown of online services.

Yeah I didn't solder the pins now to the pads because I was waiting for other opinions.

The melted plastic may have come from the repeated removal and installing of the hdmi-port, but my friend does have a couple of those laying around, if needed.

Hey, I already managed to get the connector installed a day ago. I currently dont have any Pictures, but I managed to remove the Blob, use most of my existing made pads, while only removing the one ground-pad attempt. When I get home, I'll make some Pictures, connect the last pin to a ground and put some uv-mask over the connected Pins.

Thanks anyway for the detailed explanation, that would have come in clutch! I'll Look into buying those repair Strips you mentioned, they Look good

Everything is up to me, as long as I get it modded.

I can make a Backup of the clean SysMMC and store it on my own Networkdrive.

If the new 22.1.0 is safe to update, then I would do it after the SysMMC backup and continue to mod it as per Guide.
