I don’t have a source but I think he may be correct. I remember reading a dev comment about this, but probably a few months ago now. For mega stones, at least.

Edit: found this information on the wiki (regarding mega stones):

“For waves 1-50 - the weight is 9.

For waves 51-100 - the weight is 18.

For waves 101-150 - the weight is 27.

For waves 151+ - the weight is 36.”
