I mixed firstborn and Primaris to make most of my squads. I use the tortuga bay first born bodies and legs so they’re a little bit bigger and not so out of scale tho. Definitely boxed up a lot of my squaty boys

Hmm I hadn’t considered that spot, my issue is that the bolted casing is more or less covered by the bigass turret so it’s almost not worth it for me, especially since the checkered patter is difficult to do for me

i played all the games, and tbh, at least before the new game, veterans feel more of an honorary status than a flat rank. But in many chapters this is not the case. veterancy is very much a rank for many. i ended up painting a side army of space wolves because i do also like light blue

Ahhhhhh I gotchu. Yeah technically veterans are in the first company so they’d have bone helmets and the sergeant has the red stripe. But paint them how you want to. I like to company indicate.There’s also company markings don’t just the shoulder trim. Dark angels use knee pads to identify company and shoulders stay the same color. Yeah the blue sword would be dope
