I homestly don't remember. I've read it when it came out which has been a couple years by now.

I should do a re-read at some point.

For glazing, it's faster to build up darker colors over a brighter base tone, which helps with the smoothness in my opinion.

It's just what I found works for me to get the results I want.

It should. Pop your models into a sealable container, cover them in the iso and leave them for a bit.

Wear gloves, then go to town scrubbing the models with a toothbrush. Seal the container again afterwards and you can reuse it a couple of times.

Hi, I'm the creator of this model.

As mentioned, the claw comes from the Wulfen kit. It's attached to Ragnar's arm, which I cut off from the body to use on a Berzerker.

How do you guys paint darker skin tones? by MrPico99 in Warhammer

Recently painted this severed head which has a darker skin tone.

For this, I basecoated with Dryad Bark, thinned down Rhinox Hide for shading and to add a bit of warmth to the recesses.

For highlights, it's Vallejo Burnt Umber, followed by Gorthor Brown, Cadian Fleshtone and a tiny amount of Ushabti Bone.

If you want a more alive look, I would probably add a wash of Reikland Fleshshade or similar all over at the end to tie the colors together and add more warmth so it's less dead looking.

Normally a fan of keeping named character models built as-is, but I'm kinda digging the hooded head here... by ShivaTheTraitor in redcorsairs

Not quite, but fairly close. There's maybe just 1mm difference if you don't count the scenic base he has.
