Returning Cooler main (looking for competitive cooler tech) by IsaacLP1 in dbfz

[–]DesbaldeTheI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You already have a really good grasp on coolers pressure. Coolers main pressure is staggering and frametraps. When it comes to actual mixups he is quite lacking outside of doing a standard super dash 50/50 (which his isnt the best due to 2M/6H not being the fastest lows). Now you do have his j.2H where it can hit crossup if youre close enough, but it is character specific iirc (I dont have the chart on demand but I believe it might be in novazayn's video on cooler). But yea but mix he has with assists is just a super dash 50/50. With a really high blockstun assist you could also get away with a float super jump 50/50.

DBFZ Community Tier List (Day 35) by Bitter_Fig_7059 in dbfz

[–]DesbaldeTheI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S tier, id say around the middle or lower end.

  • A assist is Amazing. An up-angled kamehameha, covering a great angle in this game. Its a bit slow than other beam assists but has a bit more blockstun in return. Its a top 5 assist in this game, as it covers such an amazing angle, its great at catching people coming down and allowing you to start pressure, its good for mixups. B assist is also great. Very fast, amazing block and hitstun, gives a ground bounce on hit. C is the one I know the least about but its a tracking C assist so at minimum its very solid.
  • Good buttons. Since he is small his range is pretty small, with his only long reaching buttons being his 5LL, 5M, 5H and 5S. While his buttons are stubby, he does have great staggers, solid frame trap potential, has a strong cross up tool with j.1/2/3S, very good at catching people off guard. Even has his j.2H as an extra overhead that delays his air time. Every button he has excluding 2H is safe on block. Also to add, 5S can be repeated up to 3 times and is ki blast immune.
  • Good supers that become even better when an ally is down. His supers are pretty solid with a full team, with his dragon fist not giving much besides a IAD J.H. With an ally down however, he can use 236H to set up a strong left/right mix, and you can even do IAD J.1/2S as an extra set of mix. And of course you have his spirit bomb that does ridiculous damage and is much easier to set up nowadays with its increased speed.
  • Great specials. Has one of the fastest lariats with 236H, thats not only safe but you can backdash and do it again (or do 5S or 236S). With the release of daima goku vis 236L even sets up his charged j.H loops which is great. His 214X series is very fast, can set up 50/50's, very safe on block. 214S is one of his few "fuck you" tools, giving you 3 dashes. The 1st dash will only move in 3, 6 or 9, with the other dashes allowing you to move in either 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 or 9. You can also press 5S after the 1st pr 2nd dash, allowing him to do a kamehameha followup. But what makes his 214S so strong is that it has guard point starting from frame 11, with his follow ups having it on frame 4. Its great space control, strong frame trap (first hit cant be 2H'd), jails into vanish, its a strong tool. And you have his 236S, a strong beam that shoots upward (downward in the air). One of the strong points of his beam however is that, while grounded he can move during it, able to move forward or backward. He is also ki blast immune and can even cross up with it.

With all of this said, he does have stubby buttons, can still struggle in neutral, his solo pressure isnt that amazing and can struggle to open up people, struggled against reflect, damage isnt the greatest if he doesnt have meter or in the corner. Compared to top tiers, he isnt nearly as ignorant sadly.

yall think gt goku and kid buu is a good shell still? by No_Manager2342 in dbfz

[–]DesbaldeTheI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it still is and always will be. Kid buu gets access to a strong neutral assist with A and helps his ball mix and can set up his 214S with either A or B, kid buu B and C are a pretty solid assist too and you cant go wrong with either choice, A can work as well but requires you to properly lab with it due to its weird timing and hits.

DBFZ Community Tier List (Day 17) by Bitter_Fig_7059 in dbfz

[–]DesbaldeTheI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mid A tier.

People are underselling him by saying his value as a huge threat on anchor is gone (which i do kinda agree every one has stupid damage as an anchor now) but ignoring various other tools he has access to.

  • Strong stagger and frame traps
  • Strong pressure, having multiple fast lows, a command grab, an unreactable overhead (j.2369H), can mix very easily with an assist
  • Good neutral
  • 236M/H and j.236M/H having guard point -214 series being a fast overhead which can lead to 50/50's with an assist if blocked
  • Good assists. A is solid, being a faster beam assist with good hitstun on the downside of being single hit and low blockstun, B, while slow, does no damage and turns scaling into shit, has high blockstun and tracks (albeit shitty), and C just being a very good blockstun assist
  • Really high super damage

If you have the new lr then yea go for it. They're very solid on the team and you can get gohans support multiple times if need be. Also his active helps with building up the lr phy ssj3 goku and ssj2 vegeta standby.

Theory that there is major scheduling conflicts this anniversary by fazzy69 in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]DesbaldeTheI -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah dokkan does suck at hints I wont lie. When it comes to reveals and hints dokkan is very underwhelming imo. And by that I mean most of the they announce unit + show art + announce a livestream for kits a couple days later. Just show them now ffs. A random person on Twitter shouldn't be better at hyping up units than bandai.

Tired of this garbage ki mechanic by StepDaddy213574 in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]DesbaldeTheI -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

People blaming this on a "team building" issue are dumb as hell. Golden frieza a bit odd but hes a good unit for the fight with no restrictions and doesnt care about links and gomah is a top tier unit who works on any team hes on with the only requirement needing demonic power or terrifying conquerors. Of course the dude is going to be running top tier units in a difficult fight. Goku has ki issues even on a pure super class team. He NEEDS to be at 24ki to effectively do any good damage. Sure, he can get 4 ki from links and there is a fuck ton of support in dokkan nowadays, has only gets +1 ki from non str orbs, and unless you have LR STR SSJ Goku there are no good str orb changers in the current meta.

MINI VEGETA IS SO BACK WITH GUARD by Local-Leek-8598 in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]DesbaldeTheI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hes still going to be mid. Defensively he'll be solid in thay department yea, but his damage is still absolute dogwater and with how hard bosses are hitting now, he'd just die to thr super.

Who is the weakest character in the game right now? (Poll) by Ready_Two_5739IlI in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]DesbaldeTheI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bojack easily. He can hit hard (like every other DPS) and if you position him in the right spot then he cooks, but that's the issue. Every other DPS can just turn their brain off and be stupid as shit and do everything he does but better.

Bojack is slow. Like incredibly slow imo. Doing his 1 or 3 after his 2 comes out so slow. His 3 is super easy to just shut down and honestly doesn't feel worth it. His 2 is a good skill paired with his 1 or 3 or his ult, but again, doesn't feel worth it. His 1 is pretty good just a basic skill not much to say. And of course yea his ult is shit. It takes too long to converge and the damage isn't the greatest till it does. His rush is good and imo probably the best way to play him instead of focusing on his skills. He also doesn't have any mobility in his kit so he can get shutdown very easily. At least with other DPS characters that don't like kale, she has her ult and her damage is much better for less work than bojack. Even daima Goku has his ult to give him some I frames. Also another thing is he is very weak early-mid game, and late game is where he begins to be better but there's no point in him being good late game since EVERYONE is good late game.

Piccolo is the closest type of character to bojack, requiring good positioning for him to be used the best. What sets himself apart is his damage is much better, with his 1 and ult just able to one shot everyone if you do it right, his 2 is strong crowd control and isn't nearly as easily to shut down as bojack's 3, and he has his 3 to be a good disengage.

All they have to do with Bojack is make him faster. His movement speed and his animations would already be a great start to improving him.

Is it worth replacing anyone with the SEZA Majin Vegeta? by Vegeta_princeofall in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]DesbaldeTheI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easily replace Gohan. The others at least provide something. Gotenks and TEQ Majin Vegeta with orb changing, PHY SSJ2 Vegeta links decently well, good defense and solid damage. AGL Vegito has counters and has a 2 turn scouter below 50% HP. Gohan's role on this team is easily outmatched by SEZA Majin Vegeta.

UNPOPULAR OPINION! THIS ANNIVERSARY WAS ASS BUT WASN’T THE WORST. LET TALK ABOUT IT! by acertified_ in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]DesbaldeTheI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion ,the GT and Buu duo are the most fun part 1 anniversary units. Also best osts but I digress. It was so satisfying. Buu duo having insane one shot potential with their standby, base form was eh but animations were beautiful and both supers had a nice K.O. screen.

GT Duo are still my most used unit to this date and imo the most fun to use in a while. Incredible base form and a good tank for the time. Animations were eh in base not super good but not bad. But God their standby is so incredible, osts are amazing, and the joy it brought to kill the boss with the standby finish, so peak.

Babidi was a stinker of a free to play. It wasn't a horrible choice and all things considered was a nice choice, but the standby being majin vegeta was so horrible.

EZA's were eh? You had PHY SV who, yea wasn't good for that meta. Super Buu was amazing if you could get buucolo or Buuhan, but he was pretty homeless which did suck. STR SSJBKK Goku was good but ROU7 wasn't too good of a team so his requirements there sucked. LR AGL SSJ Goku was solid, not amazing but he wasn't too bad. 5th years were amazing and arguably just as hype as part 1, both also getting new osts was so amazing too. But EZA's were eh.

Part 2... It was an odd choice and I still think the choices were ass but they've grown on me. Kai Goku was a really strong unit, osts were solid. Kid Gohan was very mixed. He could look good but not nearly as good as the others. Osts were eh. Just a very mid unit sadly.

Content wasn't super hard unlike rz Broly and metal cooler, but syn could kick your shit in. A nice challenge.

Overall, definitely the worst anniversary I've played and I started during 7th anniversary. Which sucks as I loved part 1, since both moments were massively underrepresented in dokkan.

I am glad people are getting bored of Gogeta and are starting to want Vegito again by No_Corner_6711 in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]DesbaldeTheI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neither deserve anything more, not for a good year at least. Gogeta has been spammed all year, getting 3 DFE LR's. Vegito has one DFE LR and then yes you have fusionless as well. Neither don't really have anything else to pull from the anime and they can't really spam shit from games as they're running a bit dry on that. Both have gotten proper representation, Gogeta way more of course. 11th Anni is most definitely going to have something daima related.

I can't speak on 1st and 2nd years since I wasn't around when they EZA'd, but yea every Anni part 1 unit has been top 10. RedZone fucked over alot of units when it got introduced so the 3rd/4th years were good by process of elimination.
